I just read on NFL.COM that Wallace is basically getting benched. I'm loving it so much! BFT is being vindicated by the FO AND the Head Coach! Keep playing the stat game. Apparently they don't mean anything to the Rooney's or Tomlin. He said they are now planning to use Wallace in "situations". Also Wallace is basically getting possession receiver stats right now anyway. 12.2 per catch. Now among my friends in the PLEASE CUT WALLACE CLUB are Myronwemissyinz, JackAttack5958, Shaner82. That's pretty elite territory but for the ROONEY'S AND MIKE TOMLIN to join us is just icing on the cake! LOL. I am just dishing out a little bit of a hard time. I really do want Wallace gone but I don't resent the people who disagree

Whoa there, BFT, I never said I wanted Wallace cut. I LOVE the guys speed but his skill level drops off considerably from there. It wouldn't break my heart in the off-season if he walks, especially if he is going to continue to hold to his unreasonable contract demands and not negotiate in good faith, but if he is willing to compromise and get real and realize his deficiencies and work hard to improve them I wouldn't be crest-fallen if he signs an extension with the team. I don't believe that will happen though. Some over-covetous owner will throw him a $10+ million dollar contract and Wallace will gladly sell himself to the highest bidder.

This is how business works, and what capitalism demands. But I bet the Steelers can make a better offer... if they're willing to do that, and if he's willing to accept it. What's to keep the FO from saying, "Hey, Wallace. We'll offer you $6M/yr for the next 5 yrs, but, if your consistent productivity increases, then we will re-negotiate your contract. If your productivity goes the other way, then so do your dollars. As you go, so does your money."

Who would find this arrangement acceptable?

Oh LOL! I thought you were on the train. But I actually agree with everything you said. If he would try and get better and all that I would be glad to have him. But I think he's content to just rely on his speed instead of becoming more of a diverse player. That's the main reason I want him gone. It's STRICTLY an on the field thing. If you start wanting to get rid of all these guys for wanting a big pay day you're not gonna have a league ya know? It rubs me the wrong way for sure but it's just the nature of the beast.

This is why I am frustrated with him BFT, because I know he is better then this, I want him here but playing at the level he is capable of. I'm actually shocked he isn't doing better, considering he is playing for a big contract.

Yeah but at least he's not doing this AFTER getting a mega contract. I think if that were the case he would have FAR fewer supporters. I think that's one of the good things about AB is that he's already got paid but he's still playing at a high level and is very missed when he's not on the field. Wallace in the last 3 games only has 7 catches! That's abysmal! Heath is still producing and even had a 30 yarder but it was called back by a penalty. Wallace has been targeted but he's not capitalized on the chances he's had ya know.

AB had a full practice today, man I hope he's on the field, definitely need him. Would be nice if Wallace shows up this game, he knows he's underperforming, Coach knows it too, would be a good time for him to step up.

U think Wallace got benched? It basically said on NFL.COM that he did. But yeah if that lights a fire under him it would be nice. Also I'm SUPER glad to hear that about AB for sure! We DESPERATELY need him regardless of who the qb is. Really he could make a huge impact on ST if they would get rid of the stupid penalties.

Surprised Tomlin demoted Mendy that far down. Sitting him yeah, but 3rd string scrub for the #1 pick.

    Tomlin's exasperated w/ him....obviously.

Tomlin continues to try to run Mendenhall between the tackles which he has never has much success. With what Mendenhall has shown over the last few seasons he needs to be given an apple and a bus ticket out of town along with several other slackers with Tomlin driving the bus.
