I had the idea of organizing a charity walk/run/bike ride for ALS research in Tunch’s name. I have never organized something like that before, but had in mind walking/running/biking a game ball from Heinz Field to Cleveland, participants could get sponsors, ball would be handed off to the next participant at intervals. At the end it would be handed to a Steelers coach or player.

Anyone have any ideas? Is this appropriate for this board?

I love this idea!! I know they run a 5K that ends in Heinz Field in September and I have done that but I love the idea of honoring Tunch.

Closest opposing stadium to Heinz Field. About 200 miles as the human walks or bikes, I would guess.

That is even better, because it’s shorter, but if it is going to be like the last two years there won’t be anyone in Latrobe at camp.
I would like this to be a yearly thing. Anyone who has ever organized something like this before, chime in. I am out of my element.
