    LOL @ the thread title!:applaud:
    I ain`t skurd...
I`ve actually been wondering why it`s taken so long for McClendon to get more time on the field.
No Disrespect to Hampton. He had a great run here, but I think his time was up a couple years ago...
Steve`s time to shine! And I am sure he will!!!
He can say all he wants about not "savoring the moment" when he runs out of the tunnel(And I absolutely LOVE that "take care of business attitude"), but Yinz know, Damn good and well, that he is gonna be fired up, and ready to show what he can do, with a "full-time" job, at NT....
    I EXPECT to be impressed!
    GO STEELERS!!!:herewego::steelflag:

The evolution in how they started blocking him and his lack of a certain quickness to avoid it, started to affect his (Hampton) play. Too many times he looked like he was protecting against that backside cut that took his knee out.

Can't wait to see him shine, maybe O'l Tomlin is gonna be the one to finally run the overly loyal taboo out of town... Regardless of how bad we might hate it or disagree. Always comes a time for tough love. Drop a tear and move forward.

    Fair enuff, Lizard..
Like I said, he was GREAT whn he first came here, and I don`t think he was ever BAD at what he was asked to do...
Clog up the middle, take up two blockers... That`s what a NT is supposed to do, in LeBeau`s scheme...
He was friekin great at it...
I just saw some times, when he got PISSED OFF... and could push the center, and whoever else was assigned to double team him, into the backfield...
I have a feeling LeBeau knows that McClendon isn`t Casey, and will give him the freedom to push his way into the backfield(or "sidestep" his way there), more than he ever "let", or "asked", Casey to...
And I think that will yield some benefits, in rushing the passer, and stopping some run plays, that we usually expected the Linebackers to stop..
They might just get blown up in the backfield now...
Not that Casey COULDN`T have done it before, but I think LeBeau was telling him not to... To occupy blockers, so the LB`s could "clean up"the runner...
I have a feeling that philosophy has changed, just a bit, given who is in the middle of the D-line...
We will see...Hard to believe that LeBeau would really change his scheme that much, just because of one player, but I have a feeling he will at least "tweak" his scheme this year...
Dinosaur or not, he knows what he has to work with, and I have faith he will make the most effective use of it!
    GO STEELERS!!!
