Tomlin deserves credit for keeping the team motivated after a bad first half.

I’ve visited a few this morning. Seems it’s the offensive coordinator’s head they would like on a platter

The music selection being pumped into Mike's headset was on point yesterday.

I'd blame Juju. If only he had danced on their painted grass in the pregame the Bills would have been motivated. As it was they only had to play for money and win/loss totals. I mean really, playing for money who does that anymore.

McDermott lost the game on one sequence.

Bills ahead 10-6, its 4th and 1. Ball at Steelers 41 yard line

    13:47 left 4th QT.

Lets O-Coordinator call a 6 yard pitch back wards pass, that Cam Sutton blew up.

His better options would of been.

A.) Sneak Allen for a 1 yard gain attempt, I mean heck he is like 6'6'' built like a Big Mobile QB

B.) Probably the better option, punt the ball. Attempt to pin the Steelers inside their own 10, and make an offense that couldn't do much of anything to that point go 90+ yards for a TD.

Anyway Cam Sutton blew it up, and it swung the whole momentum of that football game to the Steelers, and they never looked back at that point.

Getting outcoached by Tomlin? Ouch don't say things you can't take back.

    But but but......
Didn't we have a 30 page or so discussion (argument) a few months back because someone from Buffalo posted that Tomlin was over-rated? Were they (gasp) wrong?

BTW, go to some of the Bills forums. They have a much higher opinion of Tomlin than some of our fans do.

That's to be expected when you don't pay as close of attention as we do. I have a positive opinion of Frazier but I'm betting most of my neighbors here in Minnesota would say he sucks. Lot of them are tired of Zimmer now too but I think he does the best with the crap hand he got dealt.

Tomlin made the right adjustments at halftime:
Run the ball out of shotgun when they were expecting pass. If I am not mistaken they ran the ball almost exclusively with Ben under center in the first half.
Throw downfield more so that the defenders can not sit on the breaks for underneath routes.
Sprinkle in some hurry up just to shake things up.

McDermott messed up with the fourth down gambles and being one-dimensional offensively, even with a lead.

They’re old friends, what else is he supposed to say?

“I messed up going for it on 4th down.”

This reminds me of last year when certain members disappear just waiting until we lose a game so they can spew their obsessive hatred. Right now it’s just eating at them.

You know who you are. Go ahead, pop your heads up.

    Whack a knucklehead

Steelers did what they historically do. Be conservative and take the 3.

At the time and clearly in hindsight I thought Bills would be aggressive on 4th early in the game not with the lead at mid field. Also, if I have big/young QB like Allen I'm sneaking on every 4th and 1 and living with the outcome.

Tomlin outcoached him or McDermott **** the bed. Whatever you want to call it. I wouldn't bank on many wins with this formula.

    Pop.

I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!

But in all seriousness not eating at me at all, I'm happy with it. But I want to see more come January and beyond. And I'm still gonna be skeptical of a midseason collapse assuming we're still on track then.

Apparently this play was something they scouted as a team (in short yardage situations in that exact formation, they ran a FB dive every time in the PS), they said to look for something to the outside and our guys were ready for it. That play was coaching. If we weren't ready for it and they ripped off a 25+ yard run, then the OC is a hero for a ballsy call... nature of the beast. The Steelers had been good against the QB run and stout against the run up to that point. They felt like they needed to trick us for a yard. That play call was a testament to the level that the defense was playing. I would have taken my chances with a sneak, but that could've failed as well.

I thought they passed up two fourth down opportunities that could have been big momentum swingers for them on 4th and 3 and 4th and 2 in our zone. They punted bc our offense was playing bad, but that is why I would have gone for it. If they get any of those and turn that into points, they could've out-paced us before we were able to catch up. Then they went for it on 4th and 8 in a similar situation... those 3 decisions were more perplexing to me than a "cute" play call that backfired.
