I would love to get rid of Ben. The way I look at it now, I think it would be a better idea to keep him so he can take the big hits, while the team gets the O-line figured out. We want to protect our future QB, lets get the wrinkles out first before we bring him in. Ben can continue being the crash test dummy. This way Haley can point out all of the mistakes that Ben is doing to the future QB. When the line is working perfectly then throw Ben off a cliff, get the new guy in there.

Ben has lost his magic the past two years, but that doesn't mean
he is not capable of at least 5 more winning years around here. He may not
be the player I wanted him to be, but he can win with certain players
around him. My only problem is he doesn't seem to be improving?
Must get his head on straight? Makes alot of BONEHEADED PLAYS.

You let Ben play his current contract out, then go from there. Ben has talent, but we need to keep him healthy, getting him hurt has killed us the last two seasons, because he comes back, but never near the player he was before he got hurt. I think part of the problem that once he gets hurt he gets gun shy and ducks passes in fear of getting re injured, and while he holds the ball a long time, thats where he makes his big plays, and for whatever reason later in the year he wouldn't try to boucne play outside the pocket and it was causing him to take a lot more sacks.
