Would you possibly be kind enough to post this again in English?

There were instances last night when BB simply missed his read and got sacked. Already, the physical skills are diminishing. If his football acumen starts to diminish then he’s gone

    He's washed up.

That doesn't mean he still doesn't show flashes of his old self, just that he can no longer do it consistently from game to game, or even quarter to quarter, over the course of a full season.

Ben is playing better than he was a year ago. A year ago he sucked. Now he is mediocre. Next year he could be good. Or dead.

Ben is not prime Ben anymore, but if he was surrounded by some of our teams from the mid to late 2010s, he'd be just fine and we'd be Super Bowl contenders. Yes, he was a liability earlier in the year and played poorly, but I feel he has turned it around. He's surrounded by a very young group on offense with a terrible offensive line and inconsistent play at the skill positions. Not a recipe for success.

I love Ben, but my nickname for him is Tinman. His arm isn't as big of an issue as his mobility.

With all this said, he has not been the major problem this year. No he's not the Ben of old.

He is probably done. Oh well he's had a good career.

Obviously the offensive line has to be once more a focus in the off-season.

Ben has improved over the course of the season. He was absolutely terrible for the first 4-5 games, with only a handful of plays where he looked like a legit NFL QB. I think he’s figured out what his body and arm can and can’t deliver at this stage in his physical degradation, and is playing within his physical capabilities.

I went through the league team by team in my head this morning while driving to the grocery store, and I only came up with about 15-16 starting QBs that I would definitely take over Ben for the last month of this season, plus another 5 or 6 that are maybes. To me that puts Ben at around the 18th - 20th best in the league or thereabouts. Not vintage Ben, but a crapload better than he was in the 1st month of the season.

I guess he's been better the last month. Statistically, no doubt, but let's be honest, a lot of those yds were racked up when the team was miles behind. It's hard to say how much that made a difference.

What remains a mystery is whether the Steelers got way behind going 3 and out several times in a row with Canada's play calling while the Defense was getting gashed and staying on the field for long stretches. Ben then playing catch up and calling his own plays while sustaining long drives and giving the defense a rest where they can be competitive enough to try and make a comeback.

    One may never know.

When a person facing the end of life “rallies,” they become more stable and may want to talk or even begin eating and drinking again. Some people describe this phenomenon as a sudden burst of energy before death. ... Sadly, rallying is usually a hallmark pre-death sign.

Ben is playing a bit better lately.

That whole racked yards up while behind can be used for every Qb in the league. Unless You are undefeated, and even then If Your team fell behind, but it's only used when someone doesn't like said Qb. You know this.
What should said Qb do ....not throw when behind???
The telling stat is How little turnovers He has while always being Behind. Most throw a bunch in this position.

In trying to research this question, i.e. garbage time stat padding, I found a link which I'll put in to "franchise QB" thread cause it may be more relevant there.

What I did find is that garbage time stats seems to be QB dependent. Some seem to be particularly good in garbage time and others bad and consistently so. Didn't see anything about Ben being in either category.

I remember Bradshaw’s final game. He was out quite a few games with his elbow injury. We suffered through a mix of Cliff Stoudt and another QB I cannot remember at the moment (I don’t believe it was Malone yet). Anyway Bradshaw came in and played a great game leaving everyone believing he was back. Reality was Bradshaw ignored all the pain and played hard knowing it was going to be his last. Walked off the field after the game and told Noll “I am done. My arm is gone!” He left with dignity. Something we are not witnessing today. I love Ben, but until his time has come. It is amazing that we have lost 2 QB legendary a to an elbow injury.

Statistically he is a bottom 5 QB in the first half. For the most part these amazing almost comebacks in the 4th Q (which are still losses by the way) are perfectly described by the post game review of, thinking game wasn’t as closed as the score shows.
