Big Ben is definitely playing better for certain. However, I would chalk it up more so to the fact that Big Ben and the Offense are seeing a more improved Offensive Line and the continual emergence of Pat Freiermuth than anything else. In addition, while Big Ben does have zero INTs.... that figure can easily be something else. It is not but it is worth pointing out that said INT figure could be a lot higher.

Be that as it may, Big Ben not turning the ball over, the continual growth of the Offensive Line and Najee Harris will be key in winning games. Now, whether or not this Offense can score 30 or more points is of another story as that has yet to happen this season.

    Ben missed practice again today.

Did they learn nothing from the end of last year when let Ben quit practicing?

I blame a lot of those drops last year on the fact that Ben was not practicing. WRs go from Mason throwing them the ball all week, and then Ben just shows up on game day and then you wonder why everyone develops the case of the drops down the stretch last year.

Here we go again. Upset of the week with Chicago as Ben seems out of synch with his receivers.

No Full practice on Friday, No Play on Sunday! If Ben is injured shut him down for a week.

Ben is playing better. His QB rating after the first 4 weeks was amoung the bottom of the league. The last few games, it’s moved up around league average. That is clearly better. We’ll see if he fades as the season goes on, like last yr. whatever success this team has will depend on Najee and D.

Ben isn't getting hit as much as was earlier in the season, I'm not worried about his health.

You could say that about a lot of QBs.

I think part of the reason Ben faded down the stretch last season they couldn't run the ball, and his receivers were dropping too many passes.

It's hard to run the ball when 13 defenders are in the box because your QB can't move or throw downfield.

Ben was a wounded duck down the stretch and everyone knew it.

    Except you, apparently.

So your argument is that I think there are 13 defenders on the field?

Is that the hill you're dying on tonight?

You're not imagining it. The Steelers have been horrible, particularly early in games, coming off the bye. They didn't score a 1st quarter TD (coming off a bye) for like 10 years or something like that. They are slow starters, particularly after a bye.

As for Ben not being washed up. Ben is who he is. He hasn't thrown a pick but if you've watched the games, he could have thrown some if they weren't dropped by the defender. He limits what our offence can do. He just refuses to be under center and doesn't like playaction either. That impacts our offence, especially as he ages and can't hit the deeper throws anymore

The reason I posted was to make the point you can say any kind of opinion you want and any other opinion is just as valuable. No on knows what the record would be

We better continue have a running game because the minute a team shuts that down, and we have to rely on Ben, it doesn't seem like he can carry us. He's still missing routine open throws. Definitely too inconsistent for my liking. But, I hope I'm wrong.

But a lot of those other QBs offset turnover-worthy plays with big-time throws.

How bad must Mason be when Ben only practices once because of an injury to his throwing shoulder but is still 100% the best option to Tomlin?

Or MT just knows that Ben's injury really isn't much of an injury. He did finish last week's game after all.

And was throwing to the other team too much (11 picks down the stretch), was throwing 3 miles over everyone’s head or into the dirt.

No running game hurt but Ben down right sucked after week eleven.
