Some fans wanted him benched, he was bashed by the local and national media, now that the OL and Najee are playing better so is Ben's play .

Steelers would be 6-1 with Rudolph at QB.

Ben's average per game stats the last 3 games:

249 yards per game, 67% completion
7.5 yards per attempt, 11.3 yards per completion
    1.3 TDs per game
    QBR: 51.16

I mean these are good game manager type stats, but not exactly above average QB play in the 2021 NFL.

Pretty close to what Alex Smith used to do 5 years ago for good teams he led.

Darn! I was hoping no one would mention this. Now Ben will go out and throw 3 picks against the Bears. It's like when the announcers say that a kicker has made 30 FG's in a row, you know that he is going miss the kick.

At his age that's what they need him to be is a game manager type, him throwing forty times a game isn't good for the team.

Ben is playing better and that’s a good thing. I don’t think anyone is under the illusion that he is big Ben of 5+ years ago. He did make some nice throws in the game against the Browns.
I’m thinking he continues to approve as the season goes on.

The more likely scenario is that he suffers more aches and pains, which will lead to his play declining as the season goes on. It seems as if the hip injury has gotten better. Also, remember that he was coming off a bye week against the Browns. He won't have that luxury the rest of the way. I just don't see any reason to believe he will hold up physically while playing games 11 consecutive weeks.

You definitely could be right about Ben’s health especially based on what we’ve seen in the past. We’re doing better and maybe it’s too optimistic on my part, but I’m hoping we continue to improve.
As far as the bye week goes. Maybe I’m just imagining this, but it’s seems like in recent history then has been extremely rusty and not played well coming off of a bye week. So it was nice to see some decent play from him against the Browns.

    1st this isn't at You SR6.
Just using it 2 piggie back.
Nobody throwing 40 times a game is a good game plan.
Yes some games You have 2 do it....because You fall behind , or something.
Funny How some just look at stats. They run 2 that because they don't actually know what they see .
Same people that will tell You How great a Qb Drew Brees is....Because of numbers, but Don't realize the only SB He won...Was the Year of one of His least pass attempts, Yards, and TDs.....You know why...because they were balanced, and He wasn't trying 2 just make stats...He was trying 2 win SBs.
Yet On the Years he had His most passing attempts,Yards, and Tds...Losing record.
I'm sure a bunch will just over look this ....because it doesn't fit Your narrative.
    You want stats, or Wins???

Ben is playing better. But hes lucky he doesn't have 5 or 6 INTs since week 5. There have been a lot of near turnovers from Ben this season.

Lucky for all Qbs. I can go through the games I watched just this week , but I won't. I don't think I have watched one game this Year I haven't seen dropped ints. I'll just go back 2 the last game I watched....Monday night....P. Mahomes had 3 ints either dropped , or taken away with flags and a fumble his teammates jumped on .....The guy across from him..D. Jones Had 2 dropped ints. That's just the last game I watched.

Ben is playing within the scheme now. Keeping his throws at 30. He is now a game manager with a lot of experience which is fine with me. But he is a walking injury. Hopefully he doesn't get plastered and suffer a major one.

The season now gets long and there are some major challenges ahead and some sleeper games in which we have seen not come out on a positive note. As long as he manages the game things should be alright. Some of his throws are nail bitters though and could have gone south.

This is his last ride so he might as well enjoy it. The retirement tour continues...

All teams have those. I’m not saying it’s good, but that’s not exclusive to just the Steelers.

Agree. More of a concern is I can't help to think Ben is another year older and has already taken some major shots on his body already. The question I ask myself is, 'is the worst over with, or yet to come'?. If he stays upright going forward, then who knows where this train stops. If its the latter, game 17 is end of the line. The OL is the key and if they continue to click together, then I believe this train can get extra stops in the PS. JMO>

A good run game helps any QB, and a good TE helps any QB.

Nice part for the future we have Najee, Pat, Green, Moore Jr Starting, and they all look like bonafide starters!

I still think this is swan song for Ben, they way he is being (soft talk) seems like he knows this is going to be his last year.

To go out with maybe a winning record and trip to playoffs would be good for a guy who many thought was washed up would be awesome. I still think that is the ceiling for us and this team.

Plus if setting up a good situation for the future for a young QB.

He's tried like hell, though. Good for him the DBs and LBs can't catch lately.
