I'd say minor league/not good enough for the NFL. They'll be playing practice squad guys, and guys that are cut/released.

I'll try to follow then because they're Pittsburgh based, but probably won't buy merch anytime soon. I won't be surprised if this last just one season and goes belly up.

 

What are they paying these guys? Hopefully it's more than walmart.

Probably not going to be enough to make ends meet and most of these guys will need other jobs.

 

The craziest thing about the USFL this year is that all games will be played in Alabama.

So, I am kind of confused on why even have City names?

 

All the teams are based in Birmingham Alabama; but this would explain why they are giving them fake city names, so they can try and trick the fans into rooting for these teams.

 

Be hard 2 watch a game if everyone had same team names, and colors.

i don't know how they are going to fill the seats for these games in Birmingham Alabama. Everyone watching will be having flashbacks to the NFL 2020 season.

Crazy I just read where this years opening game will be broadcast on both NBC and Fox at the same time. They are saying it is the first time the same game has been broadcast live on Dual Stations. Seems like this would hurt the ratings of both channels having to split the audience. Usually they want that opening week to get as big of a rating share they can for their TV spots advertising dollars.

Hmmm. That is strange. Maybe both networks are invested beyond normal obligations with the USFL??? It is quite strange. I will check it out though. I'm usually jonesing for football about that time.

 

The plan is to move the teams to their cities next year. But we all know how well plans go.

 

Wonder if they are bucking the trend with the colors so they stand out against the other Pro franchises in Pittsburgh

Though Pittsburgh colors are awesome, and I wouldn't want 2 change if I was a team coming in. I'd want 2 fit with the rest.
