Is not good and the Steelers should explore other kicking options this week if they are available. You can’t be having kickoffs go only to the 10 yard line more than 2 times and missing 39 and 48 yard FG’s. So not sure what they will do with Wright this week but his performance today was not very good at all and they should definitely look into replacing him moving forward.

Didn’t we poach him off of the Chiefs practice squad? The Steelers have to keep him on the roster for three weeks.

What was the reason for getting rid of Sciba?

He was 1-1 on point after and 2-2 on field goals. How is that sucking? I get a different take from the article. Basically, Wright had more experience.

Wright didn't make the endzone every kick either and missed two field goals. They're gonna need Boz to get healthy quick.

I mean to say that Sciba was routinely a couple yards short or the end zone and it wasn't because his kicks were hanging in the air. Wright definitely has a stronger foot but he's unreliable on fgs.

Wright had been decent as a pro, but man, he really sucked today.

OK. Open mouth insert foot. I should have did more research. I just don't think he has a very strong leg though. JMO.

Sciba is the most accurate kicker in NCAA history. Yeah he doesn't have the strongest leg but he won't shank 39 yard FG's like Wright did today. We are damn lucky that the defense played well enough that these 2 awful FG attempts didn't matter today.

Sure, but even if we cut him we can’t use that roster spot for three weeks.

Hey lets get all positive tonight ..When you lack confidence in your FG kicker then we should go for 2 more the OC should look at how to convert more 4th and shorts , maybe more 3 yards and a cloud of dust as the OC is more 4 down thinking .. These things could lead to our QB our OC and our young WR getting better faster a different approach as well as more in the stadium reps ...

Oh and the punter can work on his coffin corner punts and this will help our Defense get better at playing the longer fields ie better blitz packages for potential points and better DB play as they are defending the entire field..

So I going glass half full even though the kicker doesn't appear to be very good at all...
