Full disclosure, the only reason I know the term millennial is because my kids tell me that's what they aren't. I don't really know what it means :(

Or Coach T didn’t want to fire him. Perhaps it comes out but probably not. We will never know but now one chip is gone.

The Steelers haven't fired a coach or coordinator mid-season since 1941....the calculus checks out, the precedent was set well before Tomlin was even born.

People should already be worried. He has progressively gotten worse this season, especially the last few weeks. Even the guy we saw early this season probably would have won the game Sunday.

That said, this is not a team that fires coaches during the season, but they made an exception for Canada. I think that means one of three things.

    1. They are ready to blow the whole offense up.
    2. They think he was so bad that he was ruining everything else.
    3. They just needed a scapegoat so they don't have to make any other changes.

I'm hoping it was the second option, but I think it is the last one. Ether of those likely means we won't see any more major changes even if they suck again Sunday.

They certainly can't just point to the opponent as Tomlin did Sunday. The Browns have a great defense. The Bengals do not.

    Very worried about what?
If Canada was the wrong guy to axe he'll be readily available if the call comes.
    Where's he going.

Or Coach T never hired Him. We see again proof that Tomlin doesn't have all this power people like to say He does.

You can provide all the proof you want, people around here prefer blaming Tomlin for reasons.

Remember, all the good draft picks are from Colbert/Kahn, all the bad ones are Tomlin ;)

    What???
I said We should be very worried about KFP not looking any better. Canada should never been hired. What I'm saying is most teams after a coaching change look better....at least for a few games....until other team see what they are doing differently. We see this every year. Hell we've seen it this year. So if KFP doesn't look any better in the next few games.....We should be really worried about KFP.

I hope Sullivan is better at play calling than coaching QBs.

IDK how much can really change, but this was long overdue. I get you cannot control players emotions, but when things start leaking out, let alone public comments (regardless of how much is read into them), the locker room is getting lost (if it isn't already). They cannot change the system, but the plan and calling can change. Will there be a change on the field, maybe minimal, perhaps more efficient, but if you want any chance of keeping some morale, this had to be done (and a few weeks to late).

I skipped some pages in the middle of this thread so I may have missed it, but where are you drawing Rooney's involvement from? The article I read this afternoon quoted Tomlin as stating it was his decision.

Naturally Tomlin could be saying whatever to the press, but I haven't had time to see much analysis, etc.

I think kaboly reported it was AR2. Of course it’s entirely possible Tomlin made the decision, went to rooney(as should be expected), rooney agreed, and kaboly put his usual spin on things

Dang it man. Are you just skimming what I'm saying. I said ....again....they look better until teams figure what the changes, or differences are. Now with that said.....when did Saturday win that 1 game. Ahhh.....see..

One thing to release the guy, but how many concepts and iterations of Canada's are they going to keep the remainder of the season?? We're already about two thirds into this season.

Millenials are born between 1980 and 1995... Some of us Millenials (like myself are in their 40's, but the bulk are in their 30's.
