I don't know why fans are that surprised Canada is back, once I heard he had a contract that runs through 2023, I expected him to return Art ll doesn't pay coaches to sit at home.

If you like averaging about 17 points a game for our beloved Steelers , then you are thrilled to have our high school level OC back. We better sign or draft a randy loss type talent in order for anyone to get open with this dreadful coordinator. Back shoulder throws and fades are all we got for another year . 9-8. Here we go again. Will rank in bottom ten of scoring again

We are number 26 offense. Yeaaa. Good enough for old cheap skate art and tomlin.

Just got out of work. But while I was there..
I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of heads cried out in horror and exploded. I feared something terrible had happened....

So disappointing to bring Canada back! And now it looks like Tomlin may have been keeping the offense ultra-conservative. Tomlin has too much power over offense, defense, and previous drafts. I hope things change this draft. I’ve been a Steelers fan all my life and will always be, but damn I wish Canada and even Tomlin would leave town!

I used to gripe a lot about Tomlin, but when he was given another extension by Art II, I realized it was just a waste of time to post about Tomlin. The same is going for Canada for the 2023 season. The hope of Steelers fans has to lie in the players and the Khan/Weidl scouting tandem at this point. Better players fix a lot of coaching flaws.

I doubt it, but some of us are laughing at the folks who think the sky is falling and this somehow means that Rooney and Tomlin don't care about winning.

If they do care about winning, then they've been pretty incompetent about it. Not sure that sky isn't falling in that scenario.

I can see it now, half way through the season, an ugly 5-3 or 4-4, about 22 pts. a game, Pickens a season high of 7 targets, a middle of the road offense, not scaring anyone, etc. etc. But maybe I'll be surprised.

Does that view also apply to Edmunds? He's improved a lot over the last 2 seasons.

Canada and Edmunds, to me, are like having a zombie bite your arm... sure you might feel better for a little while and symptoms improve for a few hours, but the end is inevitable. The only thing to do is to chop off the arm ASAP.

What a sensible, adult response to professional sports news. I applaud and agree with you.

Most fans around here won't understand it, but I applaud you anyway.

I imagine management privately interviewed Kenny and asked him if he had confidence in Canada`s system and he must have said yes.

When Kenny first started, I remember a bunch of picks and the O-line was worse then. That may have handcuffed Canada on top of the fact Canada was unimaginative/not innovative enough. I have seen improvement in play calling to be fair, but very late in the season.

The direction for the offense is up, but will it be enough? Tough to divi up how much was O-line gelling or slowly better play calling or just the fact Watt came back.

I think we will win at least 10 games next season. I mean that has to be conservative considering the level we played at this year on average and we got 9 wins. Probably 11.

I just hope someone is brought in from the outside and is made pass game coordinator/assistant head coach. We definitely need a new set of eyes for the Xs and Os aspect of this offense. Preferably someone that has called plays in the past as well.

Not much sense in getting too worked up about something I have no control over. Not a big fan of Canada but I'm willing to see if they take any of this years momentum into next year.

Good luck winning 11 games when your offense is from 1968 with the addition of some Jet sweeps and meaningless motion…

With the exception of the Giants look at the other 7 offenses still alive in the playoffs. We are light years behind every one of them.

Matters not if we like him or find him capable. Matters if Kenny can work with him.
