    Yep. As someone who has also defended LJ through the years I don't really see him as the veteran that is a difference maker with the team we have around him. I do think Dobbs and MR can be as effective with the team we have around them. Is LJs vet capabilities really that point that would put us over the top if it came to that? I have to say no. Sure I would like to keep them all but we just can't and if we did his money would go up after this year but still without his position being accelerated to eventual starter. Get what we can for him this year and use the money in a position that will be more beneficial to us down the line. Maybe not even this year but as carry over money for next. It just doesn't seem like his staying will help long term. As trade bait this year I think he brings more value to us.:cool:

    Who is Landry better then as a backup? Fitzpatrick? What value does he have?

    Well Dobbs for now. The Texans could have used a guy like him last year when we played them. I don't think he is a bad backup if that is where or what a team needs. He's not going to be a guy you pickup to battle for a starting job most likely. Spot starts maybe if you have an established guy and nobody in the pipeline. :cool:
