Exactly, and during the game Mason went , and talked to Pickens multiple times . Also let's not forget the glowing responses of our D everytime they bring up Mason.

Ive watched that play 4 times now. I believe DJ lost sight of the ball in the lights, and the rain.....it happens . I don't blame DJ.

It’s not hogwash, we’ve been through this. I’m talking about how both had good games agains Cincy but only one of them has had their past poor film dismissed. If Kenny doesnt get hurt, how do you know he isn’t still playing good? Sure looked good against Cincy.

Not being overly impressed with Rudolph with the competition he has faced so far isnt the same as criticizing his play which I actually haven’t even done outside of the sequence where he looked like a rookie QB when he turned it over.

Just got done reading through this whole thread and it’s awesome.

This discussion right here is what makes this board THE place to come to for excellent Steelers insights. Well reasoned opposing view points backed by evidence and data and laced with humor and sarcasm. Love it!

Thanks for another great season, TTF and the Mod Team!

This is what I mean, it’s like his good game against Cincy didnt happen.

It did, i agree. No td passes… 16 pts?
Oh my bad DJ dropped a td.
I really wish i see what you see in potential for Kenny but I dont, and before im called a Mason fanboy, i dont think he is the answer, but i do know he is right now. The team is rallying around him.

1 good game out of 24 total games is statistically insignificant. It's what is normally known as an anomaly (https://www.google.com/search?q=anomaly&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8).

Mathematically, it is possible to draw curves and lines from 23 data points to see trends and make extrapolations. It is not possible to draw anything from 1 data point.

You are using the fact that the 1 good data point happens to be the last data point to dismiss the 23 other data points.

Using one single data point to draw conclusions is what is known as "having blind faith". It's impossible to dispute blind faith and it's impossible to convince non-believers to accept blind faith.

Wouldnt call you a mason fanboy, I just throw that back in the face of the people who accuse me of being a Pickett fanboy. I didnt even want them to draft him but whatever. He answered the concerns I had about him in his first season and then took a step backwards this season. I want to see if it was coaching. At this point I have no idea if he is the future QB, I just don’t believe that Rudolph is but he could change my mind in this next game.

Ok, now apply that same argument to Rudolph and you’ll see where I am coming from.

I've said this to myself, how many games has he actually started? He will have another bad game, QB's do, but unless he plays perfectly he will have his doubters and he hasn't even played two full seasons of games right?

Sounds good: Rudolph has had 3 good games out of 3 with 3 wins and 0 losses, therefore, we should conclude that if he had started the first 14 games of the season, he would have had 17 good games this season.

Given how defense played really well for the first 14 games, we can then conclude that with Rudolph, Steelers would have had somewhere between 15 to 17 wins, and be #1 seed having swept the Ravens.

He played that Lions game in 20 or 21 that ended in a tie, and in 2019 he played 9 games plus the CIN where he got pulled early. That's all I remember.

Bottom line is, Im a Steeler fan like you guys. I want the best for our team. As long as we are winning i am happy. Eventually and hopefully we find a franchise qb, btw they are hard to find. I have only seen 3 in my lifetime if you include O donnell. The other 2… Bradshaw and Big Ben
