They would have scored 37 points in Seattle game if Najee hadn’t deliberately gone down. Anytime your offense scores 30 or more points, it’s considered prolific. He would also have had more than 300 yards in his first game if they didn’t take the air out of the ball because they were so far ahead. There is no way Steelers make the playoffs without Mason.

Guys....if You haven't heard Me say it before....there are some people that just can't say.....Hey....I was wrong, and the most of the people saying this crazy stuff is the biggest Mason haters on the board....because they swore up , and down Mason sucks, and He was just lucky to be on the team.....well after saying that for the last how many ever years.....they just can't seem to say....hmmm....maybe I was wrong.....they are just waiting for Mason to mess up. Like no Qb ever messes up. Mason somehow is the only Qb on the team that must play perfectly. Kinda reminds me of poor Najee. LoL

If Mason Rudolph were the starting quarterback week one, Matt Canada would still be the Steelers OC.

Actually, what some are pointing out is Mason historically hasnt moved around the pocket well. This has been his Achilles heal since he came into the league. Maybe he has learned, but in 2019, he had bad pocket presence. He tended to try to throw the ball through defenders in his face instead of shifting left or right to create a throwing lane. I will say though, he throws a great deep ball when he has time. We will see when he has a real pass rush. Hoping he has gotten better.

Many could say it the opposite way. I don't understand why for many years people laughed at the people who suggested that Mason was the better Qb. Or How about all the fans that Had to boo Mason during a preseason game becauseof a missed throw??? That was better???

That is not what I was replying to...I was replying to someone trying to say Troy Aikman was mobile.
Also with all the terrible feet in the pocket. 8-4-1 ,and 19 tds, and 11 ints looks better than those other 2 Qbs with great feet.

    YES, I remember!

I also remember what painfully crappy games with Kenny and Mitch look like!

Mason is somewhere in between, but closer to the Ben end of the spectrum than the KP/MT end.

Yeah I don't get either one. I think we'd all agree that they should play the hot hand and whoever gives them the best shot at winning. But let's face it, none of these guys are the QB you build a franchise around. It's sort of like a cable company saying they are better than another cable company. They all suck and can wear the crown saying they are the king of the pigs but they are still a pig.

What opened up the field the past 3 games was Mason throwing an 80+ yard TD on his very first pass attempt.

That single play made the defenses respect the pass, which in turn caused all the other goodness that came with it (better protection, better running, more scoring).

Until that play, steeler pass offense was a joke.

I'm amazed how people want to take credit away from the QB. It's not like suddenly OL became capable of playing better from week 14 to week 15. The *only* change was the QB.

So... how is it that He is 3-0 this year with probably the crappiest OL Steelers have had over the last 3 decades?

Not you. And I agree that Mason is the hot hand and has taken care of business the past 3 weeks and deserves to be QB1 on Saturday.
