    Hogwash.
The Steelers are up against the cap. No way it would be worth it to pay a non-rookie salary, for someone who would be 3rd string next year.

CBS Sports has 5 teams that seem like a lot better fit than the Steelers.

Protesting quietly against the mistreatment of minorities in this country is racist? Please, just stop.

Kaepernick is more trouble than he is worth. He hasn't played in years and it makes no sense to sign him now after choosing to pass on him when Roethlisberger went down, but some of the crap people say and write about Kaepernick is just ridiculous.

Yeah, but Vick was active and had been playing and starting the year before when he was brought in. Kap hasn't played in years. Vick led the Jets to victory over the Steelers in 2014.

Colin Kaepernick hasn't played football in three years, and was sitting on the bench then.

What role would he have on this team? Do they think he's gonna come in after all this time and be better than MR, or even Duck for that matter?

If this guy wasn't a hero of the left, he would've just been another guy who was a flash in the pan, and then faded into obscurity.

This is all political bs. Doesn't the fact that there aren't any teams willing to take a chance on him, even though the media would lavish them with great PR and praise at their wokeness, as a sign that the guy sucks?

Been reading on other forums and including ravens forums I see:

    - defense is for real
    - defense is legit
    - minkah transformed them

    also

    - how do they keep winning with a statue at qb

    - mason not that good
    - mason a average qb etc

I'm sure he has been wide open, and Mason hasn't even looked his way, he should be frustrated.

    Veteran QBs are not cheap.
Hoyer is averaging $4M a year.
    Fitzpatrick $5.5M a year.

I'd guess at least that amount would be required, if teams are serious about giving him a look.

Mason really doesn't have any highlights yet. One of his best ones was ruled opi.

His best play so far is actually the one where he got knocked out. It was a completion to JW if I remember correctly.

He should never take another snap as a Pittsburgh Steeler.

The game has really slowed down for Mason Rudolph... Slowed down to the point he’s late for most reads and throws.

This is just stupid, this kid cannot play at this level. Whether it’s Kapernick or whoever, we have to make a decision.

Safe to say this isn’t a Brady-Bledsoe deal if Ben comes back next year.

Some QB's take some time to develop: He's only a sophomore in the NFL

    Here's our current receiving core:

WR's: JuJu, Washington, DJ, Holton, Jones
    TE's: McDonald, Vannett, Gentry

Do you think that Mason can properly develop around them?

Conversely, do you think that receiving crew can succeed with MR at QB?

I agree mason seems to be late on most throws and not to accurate but he is getting little to no help either. The oline sucks this year run blocking and pass protection for whatever reason. The WR core is very weak including juju. No run game which leads me to say the conner era is more over than the mason era.the guy can not stay healthy. The steelers have to stay with mason for now and hope ben comes back and has 1 or 2 good years left.i do know one thing duck is no way the answer if it's not mason we dont have another Qb on roster

The sad truth is that Rudolph is still probably the best option on the roster. I guess they could try Lynch, but I doubt Hodges will do much better with this disaster of an offense.

I've probably been more critical of Rudolph than >90% of the people here noting his lack of arm strength, dubious accuracy, and late decision making. He just doesn't look that good and hasn't throughout the season. Some of yinz were fooled by the results without looking at the underlying abilities.

Having said that let's not overreact to last night's hideous performance either. It was a bad game. I compared him to Case Keenum a couple of weeks ago and that hasn't changed. Your Case Keenums have good games followed by bad games. That's what we have folks. Nothing more, nothing less.
