Let's turn this around, you desperately need a WR. What would you give for a guy who's been suspended twice for dope, is one test away from missing another year. A guy who got benched for a game this past season for behaviors detrimental to the team, who's bitched about his playing time. A WR who is tackled with the slightest of touch, who seemingly can't play special teams.

The other side asks you for a 3rd round pick. Do you burst out laughing?

He makes us better. He has to be accounted for by the defense which helps the rest. He could be franchised beyond next year. If Bell leaves we should have the money to do that depending on what happens.

I hope Steelers explore all options going into the draft.

The dude is just not consistent and likely does not take his job seriously. It's too bad really cause there would be a ton of young folks wanting an opportunity to show what they could do with that physique and sometimes athletic ability.

I don’t think you’re gonna ever get good value for him.
Other teams will hold his actions against the trade to get more for their money.
They’ll say he’s damaged goods to try and rip Steelers off.

Keep him and make him continue to man up.

We saw what happened with Brown and JuJu out.

If they do some crap like that they really are stupid!

You're down Eli. Brown had a major injury to close out the year. JuJu showed good his first year, but we don't know about the Sophomore slump. DHB is another year older and not the dame kind of receiver.

Plus MB stepped up when Brown was out! As someone else said. He's a better receiver when you get the ball to him while moving. they just keep having him do comebacks and bubble screens. When they let him run and make plays...he did!

I think MB is better on deep routes when he is in the slot going against the #3 or 4 corner.... or just working the middle of the field on a drag route...as a starter on the outside he is just okay.

I initially said I'd love to trade him straight up for a safety, but pondering it more, when have he ever seen deals like that ever get done? Rarely happens if ever.

    Tough call.

We are a team that has the Super Bowl in it's sights every year, we aren't looking to trade a guy just to get something for him. MB has to many good things going for him to just walk away from. #1 his salary is the most important thing and right behind that is the fact he has the ability to be a #1 guy being paid like a rookie. That is a great combination and that is what you need to get to where we want to go.

Agree about Bryant. He's cheap salary-wise, plus he's productive when his head is in the game. Steelers would be dumb to trade him at this point. Let him go into FA in 2019.

I could see a team like the Cowboys paying Bryant big bucks to be #1 or #2 WR in 2019. Cowboys are thin at WR if the other Bryant, Dez leaves.

The Steelers would be dumb to trade Bryant, they only have three sure things at receiver AB, JuJu, and Bryant.

Bryant IMO will come in next year and put up good numbers. He's basically showcasing for free agency and will be more focused than ever. Sucks but I think he's gone after this year.

If the offer make sense it would be hard to ignore. He will have to produce behind ab and juju and you know he still wants to be no 1.

Agreed. The best we can hope for is that he has a monster year and is the SB MVP. Another team signs him to a big enough contract to give us a 3rd round comp pick.

Trading him now won't get us much. We're better off keeping him one last year with a low cap hit and letting him walk in 2019. I agree that the only way that we can afford to resign him is if his 2018 season is so bad that we wouldn't want to resign him.

We could tag him and trade him next year if he has a big year. Maybe that moves us up in the draft for that eventual Ben replacement by then.

He was cleared August 9 2017 to join the team in training camp, so he only missed about 11 days of camp and played in some preseason games..........

Unless it's a clear overpay for the other team, I definitely think we need to hold onto Bryant. We have a legit shot at a title in 2018 and I think he'd end up being a big part of it.

We need DB's, Kansas City could do with some receivers... let's just trade him for Marcus Peters and be done with it
