    His Speed ain't new.

    His added muscle is!

Try and jam him at your peril! You'd better hope you can get to Ben before he sees him!

It's a hand timed 4.27, but the precise time isn't really crucial to me. What is really impressive is that he has put on about 20 lbs. of muscle and still maintained or increased his speed.

If he keeps his mind right, he could be an absolute nightmare for opponents.

The hand timing to FAT (fully automatic timing) is about .24 seconds. That would work out to a 4.51 FAT. Just saying.

His past inability to refrain from herbal entertainment was frustrating to say the least.

But his preparations thus far show a willingness to truly turn his career around - and he was already a major talent. I've always liked him as disappointed as I may have been by his behavior.

I'm sure we're all pulling for him as a person. And he's going to be a beast on the field. Of that, I have no doubt.

Now if everyone else can stay healthy, this is one key piece of the puzzle we missed last year.

Impressive. Now if only coach Tomlin can upgrade his game planning to use him correctly to beat the Patriots...

I have tried to clock it on my Iphone and I keep coming up with 4.47 and once I stopped it early on purpose and it was 4.32

No matter what I want this guy back in his current form or his previous body.

I think Ben believes he can be the best wide out in the league if he puts it all together. In 2015 after AB already had a couple of seasons of the best receiver in the league talk Ben told him to get out there and be the best on the planet - or something like that.

I can see him getting Julio Jones cred IF (big if) he's done being a stupid young kid.

People often forget these dudes are kids and just as much bad influence around them as they do good. They most likely have been given a pass on everything up to this point (and during their pro lives) and live a different privileged existence than most of us and it corrupts.

How does the suspension work with his contract? Since he was suspended, does the team get to keep his rights for another year?

That's also my biggest fear, that Ben will constantly go long on 3rd an 1. I just see Bryant and AB going deep, leaving a big opening in mid range underneath to wide open Ely, or the tight end, and Ben still throws deep. Okay sometimes, but we all know how Ben likes to chuck it long on 3rd down instead of moving the chains.

Back when he moved well he would run around the end and go for the 2 yards or chuck it... he leaves out the one part now.

We all know he's game fast so its not like it matters but I can eyeball that as much slower than 4.27.

4.27...4.37...4.47 either way once he gets behind you you're not catching him. He was running by people before and he will be running by them again....

Okay, he is back in the fold.

I hope he proves me wrong over the long run, but I'lll be lookin at him with the side eyes for a while because I have my doubts.

I disagree. He'd be great on a third and 1 bomb. Not every play, but 2 years ago when he was playing, we had a good completion percentage on third and 1 for long gains. Without him, it went pitooie.

    What JEH said.

The problem was Sammie not bringing them down. If Coates was able to bring in just a few more of those, the game planning becomes different and they either account for him or suffer the consequences!

Think about that Pats game. He brings in that early bomb and you're talking about an early lead and having to back off a bit early on Brown.

Also, for a big guy Bryant can make some moves underneath. Even on short completions he has the ability to make a few moves and take it to the house.
