Markus Wheaton ruled out vs the Redskins

just another in our long line of injured or suspended. really? dupree, golson, wheaton, bryant, bell, wallace, nix, gilbert, heyward, green, hargraves, dear God most teams would love a lineup of these guys and we're still not worried. that's a lot of talent not on the field.

 

Jesse James is gonna have a big game Monday night. Sayin' it now.

 

Hopefully it's about missing 1-2 games rather than 8-9. Wheaton is still a good weapon to have, and further along the learning curve than Coates and Rogers.

Sucks not to have Wheaton, but this is a good opportunity for Coates and Rogers to make a name for themselves and get themselves more snaps going forward.

Honestly I think Wheaton is a healthy scratch and they're just saying this so they can start Eli without giving PWP the satisfaction of being right and also to give Glenn a caveat to say "Well, yeah he DID get to start BUT Wheaton was hurt!" It's crazy to think our coaching staff would do this to two of my buddies on here but stranger things have happened I guess.

 

I will always consider the reason we lost in that game to be twofold. One reason is because of that stupid AV play. The other reason is because Blake blew a coverage that caused the game winning td. Take away one of those plays and we win that game. Well that and the fact that Sherman was just grabbing AB and throwing him to the ground 15yds off the line of scrimmage. But still.

 

yep, i can see it now, AB becoming angry because eli is cutting into his millions, because ben is force feeding eli instead of him.

 

we still have DW too guys. a good line, ben, AB and DW. a lot of teams would kill for that offensive firepower.

 

disappointing news... I want all the firepower we can get. Jesse James, Coates, and Rogers are still relatively unproven. I'm optimistic about them but my confidence level is not as high...obviously

My prediction is AB and Cotes are the two starting receivers.

 

With the Redskins weak run defense (Ziggy Hood is a starter) I hope they run the ball 35 times.

 

Hm. I really don't know who they will start. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it WASN'T Coates just because he looked pretty bad in the preseason but I also wouldn't be surprised if it was just because he has a little more experience and also offers more of a threat on the outside than I think Rogers may. Couldn't they still line Coates and AB out wide and Rogers in the slot or are you saying AB and Coates on the edge and a TE in the slot?

 

If Wheaton isn't a go, depth chart is clear. DHB is next man up. Coates is back up to AB. Rogers is down the list as a starter.
