You know I'm going to try and find out how to take it and see how I do. My goal is to beat Vince Young by scoring a 7.

The only hard part of a wonderlic.....at least the old style one....is the time to do it all. A Muppet could ace it if they were given all the time they wanted.

The real one is timed for each question.

It’s timed at 12 minutes for the 50 question test or about 14.4 seconds per question

That’s a lot of time IMO

The practice one I took back in the day had each individual question timed...., but I would be lying if I could remember the time.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Mason technically unavailable until March 13? I'm under the impression he doesn't technically become a free agent until then. So how would we truly know how hot of a market there is for him as there is no offers on the table albeit I'm sure the Steelers with preliminary talks?

If you are going to use the word “technically” then technically he is not a free agent until 4 pm New York time March 15

Steelers certainly have had preliminary talks if they are interested and they say they are

Talks for other teams can start March 13

    but his contract ended when?

    it is an interesting discussion.....

Steelers don't own him today IE - cannot trade him, yadda yadda yadda

when they chose not to franchise tag him, he became a FA.

if we get technical, it is pretty complicated!!!

Aside from the beat writers talking to each other from what team sources are telling them, has there ever really been a hot market for a BU QB? Like there are GMs out there rubbing their hands together to sign a 2nd string QB.

If I was the Bears I'd sign Mason to a 3 year window, and draft Marvin Harrison and Brian Thomas at 1 and 9 overall or whatever their second pick is.

    Actually it is pretty simple

He is under contract until 4 pm March 15

He does not become a FA until that time

They can talk/negotiate with him until then

I had to read this several times to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. Are you suggesting that the Bears pass on Caleb Williams and sign Mason Rudolph instead?

Hell yeah, they would still have Fields too and pick up two playmakers on offense with in the draft.
Makes sense to me. Caleb is not a good fit in Chicago.

Bears just need a new QB because Fields failed on his window. They don't need Caleb Williams. Bears could draft Jayden Daniels at 1 or Drake Maye. Mason has the experience in the league, is a great passer, and can be acquired for the price of that first round pick and on shorter contract, which is why they would be drafting Caleb Williams anyway, to get a great passer at a great price in a new window. Signing Mason would allow the Bears to get two premier players, let's say Harrison and Brian Thomas, or Jared Verse at 1 and 9 respectively.
And the, when they sign Mason to start, there will be some much interest in that #1 pick, they will get calls to get even more capital.

BU? Mason went to Oklahoma State. So not sure about that.

As for Mason's play, he completed the seaon with a hot hand, he has #1 experience, has a good demeanor. He actually showed to be the best QB on the roster. Trubisky was signed but was released.

Mason is scheduled to hit the free agent market. We won't know what his true value is until then.

I bet he lands a decent deal somewhere.
