After watching last night game I’m kind of lost on why we aren’t a man coverage defense all the time. Burns was obviously more comfortable in it and other than Gronk we shut them down. With Haden coming back you have to think we are going to stay in man from now on right?

I think they should have been mixing in more man coverage all along, especially with Haden. It does seem to be a better fit for Burns. The problem is, they really don't match up well with backs and tight ends in man-to-man.

You do not go full man because you open yourself up towards more weaknesses.

A multi arrary of coverages must be used against Brady. We nearly won that had Butler not left Davis all by himself against a force of nature.

Nevermind the covergae though, we did obtain interior pressure. We will need that again should, no, when we see them again.

My guess: Steelers went 11-2 playing their standard defensive strategy this year. I suspect they wanted to keep the man coverage under wraps and not generate any game film for NE to study.

Well they got it now. NE wasn't expecting that but now they will. That's why this game was so huge and season is over.
