    Career yards per carry
Jerome Betis 3.9 33% of games played with 100+ yards
James Conner 4.4 20.5% of games played with 100+ yards

What defines a really good running back? The O-line! Aren't that many Barry Sanders who can do it inspite of their O-line

I love the Bus but I'm not sure Conner's play should be questioned; he's a big part of why we are 7-0...

I agree. He has not vision from behind the line. When our O-Line makes the hole and he gets through, not a problem. Once in the open field he does fine. But, he just can't seem to find the opening on his own with his limited vision.

I'm not questioning Conner's overall play this year. He has been very good and I give him credit for that. I'm just saying that when we needed to close out that game, they were stacking the box and Bettis in his prime busts through it or could shift it to the right where there was plenty of open field to get the first down. He was the best at closing out games when we needed it most. The one major exception was the fumble at Indy where Ben saved us but other than that he usually always got the job done.

So many games at the end iswe could just close out. This is another one that we just take the victory formation if Jerome was in that situation.

I wouldn't compare their stats. The Bus played 13 seasons , this is only Conners 3rd? Numbers go down as they get older

I miss Franco & Polamalu. The two leaders who brought the Lombardi to Pittsburgh.

The Bus was stopped on 4-1 in his career. The problem with the Steelers is the interior line isn't a good power run blocking unit. It starts and ends with the Oline.
