Once again, that "turned down $70 million" is intellectually dishonest. The only part of the contract that is legit is how much is guaranteed. $70 was not, so everyone should quit quoting that #, that is a ploy by the Steelers to make Bell look like the bad guy. The unguaranteed portion of the deal shouldn't even be discussed.

Well he was guaranteed $45 mil over the first 3 years. Certainly he would have at least got the 3 year mark of the deal right? Even if not, he was guaranteed $33mil over the first 2 years. Thats $16.5 a year for the first two years of the contract. Its not upfront money, but it is a front loaded contract.

Players get hurt. How many full seasons has Bell had? Ben? Deshaun Watson and Dalvin Cook both went down for the year without even being hit. Then there are players like Mosley who had numerous injuries in college and has been relatively injury free in the pros. I'm not going to waste time wondering who is going to get hurt or not.

He did turn down 70 million, nothing intellectually dishonest about it. If he plays the full 5 years, he gets that money. He's 26, odds are he'd finish that contract. Bell is trying to set a new market for RB's, he want's 17 million, definitely played a roll in him turning down the offer.

And the Steelers aren't trying to make Bell the bad guy, he is the bad guy, did that all by himself.

Yep partly because Ben has stated he didn't like it . The OC should be the OC and make Ben run what we need him to run. Simply show him the stats of the Steelers Redzone work compared to Teams that use more PA.

Bell is also a huge factor to the PA pass not being used . His wait behind the line style allows Defenders time to diagnose the play.No reason to fill the hole at the snap because the RB is not trying to blast into it. Throwing lanes are created behind the LB'S when they are forced to fill at the snap. Only a dumb Coach and dumb Defenders would bite on PA with Bell's style .

The bottom line is the Harder a guy hits the hole the more Defenses have to fill gaps quicker and dedicate a DB or 2 in case a RB explodes thru . Again the style of Bell the Safety can actually stay put and play passing lanes first and still have time to come up and tackle Bell . I see it on tape all the time .

But your main point has been he hasn't helped the team win a sb when nether has anyone else. And ab nor Heyward are 2x better than the highest paid guy especially Heyward. Leveon is 2x the player freeman is . Gurley and Zeke will get paid more than 8 million too.

Read slowly. 7 or 8 million more. You are making the SB the main point not me. I simply stated he has won us nothing. He is not 7 or 8 million more of a back than any of those guys. He's a RB AB and heyward are not and they are not asking for stupid money and doing less.

He’s in college,he can’t be a dumby. He seems like a nice guy. But he either doesn’t comprehend what people post or he needs to read slower. He has totally missed the point on multiple posts of mine.

I mean if I'm saying he's been a football analyst since 98, and you are saying he's still in college than he is Rodney Dangerfield in Back to school.

Not Zeke or Gurley. No. But I'm sure they will break the bank as RBS when it's their time to get paid as both of them are 2x the player freeman is as well. I never brought up sb. You did and I responded. And I guess no player in your eyes should ever get paid because I havent seen a player get paid and than just far exceed the numbers they have before. They either stay at that level or drop a little. Freeman when he got his contract had barely 1000 yards and only 54 catches. Yeah leveon doesnt deserve his money lmao.
