There were 3 or 4 playcalls in that game that made me think "damn, that's nice." My favorite was the fake to Brown or Wallace (don't remember) on the bubble screen and then the little touch pass to Heath down field. It was so awesome... Because you know every D we play knows that the bubble screen is a staple of our offense.

For the record, I love the bubble screen, and I have since Arians was running it. It was an automatic 5 yards every time.

The problem with the bubble screen under BA was that the defence often knew it was coming. I remember during a game, the announcers predicted a bubble screen was coming, and then sure enough it did. Not only did the announcers know it was coming, but so did the defence as it got picked off.

Under Haley, the defence doesn't seem to know what we're doing. Under BA, it just seemed like there was no rhyme or reason to the plays. It felt like he picked plays at random and hoped they worked. Haley puts plays together for a purpose. He sets up one play for the next, and takes advantage of what the defence gives us. I also love that we aren't chucking the ball deep down field constantly. There's nothing better than high percentage short throws. Manning and Brady have made careers of doing that.

Funny how much better this offense runs with basically the same players as last yr. Highlights how diabolically terrible BA was.
