If we lose Wallace to a top ten draft pick team, and we get David DeCastro..I will be very happy with that..

    your thoughts..

Don"t see anyone giving up a top ten pick for Wallace, my personal opinion. But if we could bundle 18 (bears) or 21 (cinci) with a third or fourth rounder, we may be able to pick him up.
I think I, like just about everyone else on the board, would be in love with picking up DeCastro.

Yep I think this is correct.....As I stated in other threads the Bengals are the most likely landing spot.....

We need at least 1 OG maybe 2 and we also will probably need a tackle.....This would make picking Decastro and Glenn in the 1st. round make perfect sense,,,,as Decastro is the best OG and Glenn might be able to play any spot on the OL at least he can play OG and RT....

    B

Can we afford two first round picks? I'd love it, but the recent history is either we package and move way up for a stud or trade down for a couple 2nds and a third or something.

How come nobody is talking about a back up QB? We are in need, ben is going down too often and I'm not convinced this line will much better even with some good draft picks. They are rookies and all...

    Re: B

Yes we can afford it because of the new Rookie pay scales, and Decastro is a plug and play guy as well as Glenn at OG...

I could see the Jets taking a run at him. They pick 16.

I'd feel bad for Wallace if that happened. Thats where old Steelers receivers go to see their careers die.

Decastro, Glenn, Pouncey, Gilbert, Colon; run Redman behind a bruising fullback and gain 5 yds a carry. Work Miller, Cotchery and Brown over the middle and stretch the field with Wallace and Sanders. Unstoppable. 14 play 7+ minute drives. Let the offense carry the team for a few years.

Everything made sense except the part about Wallace since the premise of the thread is we lose him. You can stay up a little later.

Thank goodness that the steelers always sign their "studs" to a 2nd contract. No need to lose sleep over this scenario. It'll never happen.

Nobody in the top 20 is going to touch Wallace. I think Cincy at 21 is as high as it'd get.

Agreed. We might well lose Wallace and gain DeCastro, but it still won't be without a trade up.

I would in a heart beat, we will find another WR (cotchery) we can't find OL.
Plus Antonio Brown and Manny Sanders are better football players than Mike Wallace.
