    :lolol:

I agree though, think he has tons of potential, Tomlin, Mann and having guys like AB around to watch how its done will help him to meet that potential.

Yup, Tomlin routinely walks the field and throws out a couple "encouraging" words to select individuals. Sometimes he even steps in and makes a suggestion on technique. Occasionally he chides one of the coaches to get his unit in gear or teach them the right way.

Must mean they have a lack of work ethics. Come on Kaboly!

I guess I just need to consider the source on every single one of your posts.

    troll
One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument.

I think that pretty much sums it up.

I would expect any player fresh out of college to have a bad work ethic when compared to a Pro-level player. Guys like Shamarko are rare and are the exception not the rule.

Steel my suggestions is walk away by continuing you are giving him what he wants. he wants to be able to claim that he is the voice of reason and how he speaks the truth and isn't encumbered by the rose colored glass the rest of us are. Not worth the time and effort.

thanks dr webster for the definition ... and i would think just the opposite is true.. that a kid fresh out of college and hoping ot make the team would be working twice as had are a vet that has proven his worth and is a lock to make the team .. such as a AB or someone.. its like when a person starts a new job they are just fired up and hell bent ot be the best employee ever.. after a year they are coasting on the job... after 3 years sitting with the boys bad mouthing the company that feeds them..

Couldn't agree more, not everyone has to agree on everything but I can fully understand people getting frustrated with a poster who seemingly has less good to say about the Steelers than yer average Ratbird fan.

Exactly Mac and sometimes a good coach will torment and pick on a guy that they see has alot of potential and Tomlin qualifies as a good coach. Tomlin has assessed alot of talent over the years so likely if the reports are true he is razing the kid to do better because he wants him on the team.

According to some of the coaches interviewed after the incident, it's normal for them to inadvertently wonder onto the field, they just aren't normally in the path of the runner

It happens every single game. Players, coaches, assistant coaches... Most of the time it's not even accidental. They'll walk out onto the field so they can see better. Of course, they're usually either behind the play, or so far out in front that they move out of the way if they need to. The only thing that made Tomlin's different at all was that he had his back turned.

I STILL don't understand what the big deal is. Even if he affected the play (I'm not convinced - Cortez was totally going to get him anyway - the only thing you could say is that it messed with the returner's mind a little), and even if that affected the game and we won... HOW is that any different from another penalty? People score touchdowns because of holding. People stop touchdowns because of pass interference. Suppose a WR burns the CB at the line of scrimmage, which is the 50 yard line, and the CB knows he's beaten so he reaches out and grabs the WR and practically tackles him. The QB throws the ball, and it winds up just out of reach. It would have been a sure touchdown, but instead it's a 5 yard penalty, that's it. Everyone would praise the CB for making such a heady decision. So bottom line is, everyone that said this was a big deal can suck it.

Exactly my thoughts at the time.

How anyone thought the draft pick punishment made any sense in any world was beyond me.

I think Baltimore should have lost their 6th rounder for that holding in the 3rd quarter. And that facemask? 4th rounder, minimum!!
