Looks like it’s time for Tomlin to put up or get gone.

Im rooting against myself as well hope I am wrong. Nothing I am seeing from MT convinces me otherwise in the least unfortunately.

You know you are not happy with MT and our pitiful decade plus of postseason failure. Stop acting all high and mighty. Be honest. Are you happy with 9-8 or 10-7 regular seasons and no playoff wins?

I know the response “but you don’t need to say it every other post”

I don't disagree here, but we've also had a much worse roster the last three years and won 10, 9, and 9 games, respectively. This roster is pretty good with tons of upside, and we'll fill at least a few of these holes. I think it's OK to have some excitement.

1st Rd pick looks more and more like a C. 3 solid ones there to choose from.

WR will be Boyd, or a Boyd like WR.

and then take another w pick 2 or 3.

there are other S's and CB's to sign in FA, they will be coming.......

Love to see Rowe come back, fits well with Minkah.....

That roster was riddled with holes. Mostly on the defense. But,but, but

Is a first round pick guaranteed success? What about a second round pick?

Could be his final season no matter what happens. Even if they go on a deep run or even reach the SB, it’s a good way to finish a career. If we don’t even make the playoffs or it’s one and out still a good time to leave cause we’re looking at a new Qb and rebuild after that

    nope

but odds and data / stats FAVOR first round historically

but you already knew that... ;)

it is 2024 - ROOKIES have to play and perform.

    riddled?

it had a few, but it was TIME for Ben and Co. to finally carry something, as the D had carried his TAIL for 10 years!

that O never became the Greatest Show on Turf, but they should have been

He probably would have felt great had he not resigned after only 3 years of Ben.

actually the odds are quite poor even for first round picks. Which is why it’s stupid to rely on the draft

    not really.

i guess we need to define success.

I define Jones as success last year - you may not. He was not Pro Bowl. No one is really talking much about him. But he started most games and held his own, should have started more but Tomlin screwed that up.

JPJ had a successful first year for me - maybe not for you.

so - words do have meanings and maybe we differ on them?

so - yes, I think we grab a C - he will start and will learn by being thrown into the DEEP END. that is the NFL today. You need rookies to play and perform. OLINE is the best place to draft and start.

that is what O Khan tells me......

Or player development of all players. They don't improve?
I m thinking not much teaching is getting done.

I love when dim bulbs make these stupid claims. Our first round draft pick fell off a cliff the last 4-5 games of the season, but let’s ignore that minor detail. You’re hoping that a center is available to us in the first and hoping he will be great. That’s just plain stupid no matter how you slice it.

Ps O khan didn’t tell you crap. Probably would laugh in your face

2023 was a much improved roster injuries hindered this team
and a slow start by Ol and play calling . The Steelers need to become
    relevant.

Jones played most of the season in a position he never played in at college. He ended the season as the third best graded OT in the league and the best on an admittedly ****ty O line of Pittsburgh. He definitely had a bad last game but did he really disappear the last 5 games of the season? I remember the colts game he sucked and definitely was outplayed in his last game.

The man has already addressed this with you a few times as many others here have.
Who in their right mind would be happy with the post season losses?

Do us a favor and try to hit the 3 in 13 mark with your repetition. Sure you cant.

yeah I agree, why did he stay? Did he think things would get better after Ben retired? Maybe he thought there might be a quick fix, I guess this is it.

you my friend are the DIM BULB, maybe even a fool - don't know, don't know you 1:1, but you give plenty of hints

this is where GREAT COACHES win and MT is not a great coach.

maybe that helps? Jones was good - only you CLOWN used the word GREAT. Very few greats in the game

    you are a clown.

there is NO SUCH THING as a perfect roster - GET OVER IT
