freak, i could be wrong but it seems you are happy about this. LOL

 

I always thought Gay was a good Nickel Corner. Not a very good starter or coverage corner. His 2011 season was much better than his 2010. Good luck to him, I think we have bettert talent in the depth chart or maybe the will take a starter with our 1st pick, but I still think we are going to draft and ILB in the first round.

 

He was better in '11 than '10 but still not anything resembling a shut down corner, or even a good one for that matter. It's time for some young guys like Lewis to step up. Maybe draft one or two or sign a FA after the draft. We'll be ok without him.

 

I saw this somewhere and it listed Steelers as one of his options.

Yeah thats just a typo report...Pittsburgh is on his list as it was reported the other day. I swear people will post or "report" anything here before even checking into it.

 

Hope he goes to Denver so we can light him up. Antonio Brown will have him for lunch/dinner and a late night snack. Do it Gay go to Denver!!!!!!

 

Gay is a very good Nickel corner. In camp/preseason last year he showed he was getting even better. He became our starter over McFadden and Lewis who both were drafted higher than him. He has worked his tail off to get into the lineup.

Has he peaked? Is he as good as he's gonna get? What about Lewis,Brown and cortez and their ceiling?

I liked Gay's play last year and if he leaves wish him the best. I'm hoping he comes back and pushes Lewis into the starter role. I hope if he leaves Lewis doesn't relax thinking its his job now.

Also if he leaves doesn't that give us a shot at a comp pick next year?

Yeah, this is true. It would be good if this camp, given the rough equivalence of a lot of the talent we have at CB, they use this to push themselves up a step. I'd be happy if we could just get a clear sense of depth order by September.

 

2011 was his absolute best year and every season up to that point stunk to high heaven.

One thing I will always remember about this dud is the SB Championship Parade and celebration.
500,000 plus people jammed pack in the burg and every single one of them is covered head to toe in Black N Gold and this clown shows up wearing Cardinal Red.

Its been said a bunch of times already but 1 more time for the record.. Gay was better last season cus of the garbage teams we played, he went up against week QB's. When we played the better teams nothing changed he is garbage.
