he doesnt have stitches, it was arthroscopic surgery, he was probably back on his feet in 3 days or less. I had a very similar surgery a couple of times myself. I am not currently a professional athlete nor was I when the surgery was done, but I had full mobility and cleared to do whatever I felt I was capable after 2 weeks. Ben will have 3 weeks after the surgery before playing if he plays this week. If he doesnt, I am sure its based on his comfort level he has with his knee. I fully expect this to be his decision and not a medical one.

Say Jimmy, unless your keyboard just ran out of green ink, I suggest you hurry up and jump from that ledge - you're taking up valuable space and preventing you know who from taking the much anticipated plunge.

    Just going by the reports:
Steelers uncertain whether Ben Roethlisberger can play vs. Ravens
    • By ADAM SCHEFTER via ESPN

Roethlisberger had surgery to repair the meniscus in his left knee Oct. 17. Doctors initially told the Steelers that Roethlisberger's knee surgery would sideline him four to six weeks, and as of last week, he still hadn't gotten his stitches from the surgery removed.

In an odd way, I'm glad this is being reported. Why give the ratbirds any info. on who is starting. Take some tricks from the hockey teams and pull a cloud over the injury situation. Let Hairyballs prepare for two QBs.

Arthroscopic surgery typically includes stitches. Just not very many. A couple to close up the incision. They usually come out in a week or less. You want them out before a scab firms or they are a PIA to get out.

We can't win without Ben. Put him in there and block for your franchise qb like you did for Landry. He need this game before the Dallas game. We need Bens A game against Dallas and B game against ravens

Completely agree Big Ben always tries coming back early and mostly never plays well and seems to reinjure himself. This of course putting us back to where we were from the start. We need to look at drafting a QB in the next two to three years cause Ben is very injury prone the last couple years. It always comes at the worst time to. Never mind he's getting older. I'm surprised we haven't tried to draft a QB in the third or fourth round of the draft. Landry dang sure ain't the answer. A legit replacement we the time comes. If we would of taken care of business against the terrible Miami Dolphins we could afford to drop a game or two. I guess we'll see Sunday go Steelers!

I have had arthro several times and never had stitches, maybe you have the wrong doctor?
