    I am still sticking with the preseason perspective that this offense is going to take some time to become a cohesive group. I believe that this year will end much better than it began because:

    Roethlisberger will not have another game as bad as this Bengal game;
    The offensive line will continue to improve slowly but surely;
    Miller will return and help diversify the passing game;
    Jones and Bell will mature into a solid back field;
    The defense is still solid and the offense will improve and add time of possession;
    Haley will realize that he cannot change Roethlisberger at this point in his career;
    If the Rooney's took some control over the team when Haley was hired, they learned their lesson and will let Tomlin have control back;
    Special teams looked good;
    Turnovers will happen.

    The second loss was better than the first loss and the third loss will be better than the second.

    It's a bad day when your Special Teams were the better unit.

    Ziggy Hood & Cam Heyward showed some flashes. There's some optimism.

    I thought the new center was decent. Jarvis Jones was exciting to watch. Thats about it.

    Unfortunately most of the positives are coming from the defensive side of the ball and ST :facepalm:

    Moey did make a nice catch on that TD, so that's a plus, might want to utilize him some more, especially with how much Ben was overthrowing everyone!

    The reason I am optimistic is because we have Danny Smith as our special teams coach and he is absolutely HILARIOUS to watch. I hope that they will show him a lot during games because he would be great comic relief from the misery it appears we are in for. From 7 rows deep in the stands you can see his jaws flapping to chew that enormous wad of gum. He reminds me so much of Gomer Pyle it is not even funny. I would love to just walk up to him and say "Shazaaam"!!! I was showing him to my dad last night and he was cracking up at him too.

    I thought we'd agreed in preseason that Smith's nickname was Barney rather than Gomer? :lolol:

    This season will be a write off, they need Heath back, and by the time he's in game shape, the team will already be in a deeper hole. Most of these players won't be around if we ever hit S B contender status again. So I won't waste my time saying he sucks, and he sucks, when I know those players won't be around for very long. I'm just going to sit back and look for the humor in our games. ( i wont have too look far, Ben is done) this is one of those seasons where I hope he does get injured so they can get the quicker Gradkowski in there to run this offense, Ben is an idiot.

    It's Seattle, 49er's, and who ever else is SB ready, to duke it out. We aren't even close to what the She-hawks are.

    The good parts, if you want to find any from the game last night.
    Jarvis Jones has talent it's going to be a matter of time, before he gets some sacks.
    Heyward, Ziggy Hood, acutally didn't look too bad last night.
    AJ Green was shut down by our defense, was pretty much a zero factor. Sanu had some big play because of it though.
    I think Paulson has some talent as an offensive cathing TE, but he can't block to save his life, but he played at Oregon, that all they do is throw. Needs to hang on to the ball, I really think he thought he was down which why he didn't go after his fumble.
    Derek Moye had a great catch, his first NFL TD.
    Ben finally looked pissed, I've never seen Ben that mad looking during a game, I'm hoping something becomes of it, because he is the only good thing we have on O.
