I watched something about theater food once and they said that's actually where theaters make their money because they don't get jack on the ticket sales. I know what you mean though. It's pretty much broad daylight robbery. Me and a couple of my buddies went to watch something one time and 2 of us took candy with us in our pocket and 1 said he wouldn't do that. So after the movie we walked out and there just happened to be a mall security guard parked beside my buddy and I said "OH CRAP! We got busted!" and my buddy started dying laughing and the guy that refused to take in food just knocked the crap out of him! Then my buddy said "HE SAID IT!" and he goes "Yeah but you only encourage him!" LOL! That's one of my favorite movie memories!

When I was in college I got to be good friends with the guy who owned the local movie theater. He'd let us come in after hours to watch movies once in awhile.

I remember how much he absolutely hated it when they had a bargain $2 night and people wouldn't buy snacks. He complained about that all the time and said he was losing money without the snack sales.
