The Bears game of '95 was a thing of beauty... and O'Donnell deserves a lot of credit. We didn't see a Steelers offense do that again until Maddox came along in '02.

Neils pass percentage was in the 50s range for his career
and he never had more than 17 TDs in a season, he was surrounded by good steeler teams but was just a game manager, he couldnt carry a team on his own, here is his career stats mediocre at best:

If Im not mistaken, wasnt Cowher the first coach in the NFL to use the 5 wide receiver set? Am I wrong about that?

It took a long time for me to come to grips with that game, as a 10 year old kid, I was devastated with the XXX loss. Things looked so bleak at halftime, it appeared the Steelers had no shot. Then Cowher comes out and kicks and onside kick, and the Steelers ended up owning the 3rd quarter. You thought holy crap, Steelers might win this thing yet. But, then Neil throws the the picks.

I know that was a Barry Switzer led Cowboys team and not Jimmy Johnson, but we almost beat one of the best NFL football dynasty's ever assembled.

The Steelers defense was great that year. But, compare this and you see why the Steelers shouldn't of even had a chance in the game.

Troy Aikman vs Neil O'Donnell ----> LOL

Emmitt Smith vs Bam Morris ------> LOL

Yancey Thigpen vs Michael Irvin, I won't give Yancey a lol, because he was decent. But, Irvin is a HOF.

The great wall of Dallas offensive line vs the Steelers offense line (Dirt Dawson only HOF on our line)

Deion Sanders vs Rod Woodson, now that's a reasonable match up. But, Rod hadn't played a game since Week 1 of that season.

We had a rookie Slash (Kordell) they didn't really have anybody like that. No one did.

We have Kevin Green, Loyld, Darren Perry, Steed, our defense was stacked. But, it wasn't good enough to stop a future HOF, QB, RB, and WR

Plus they also had Jay Novacek, he was a really decent TE. Daryl Johnson was an outstanding FB.

You look at all this and you wouldn't even think the Steelers would of had a chance.

If NOD was such a good QB, why did he suck on every team after he left Pgh?

I seem to remember we shut Emmitt Smith down in that game.

The best part of looking back on NOD is that we are looking back.

I'll look back for you. He was a careless, reckless operative at QB for a 'Should-a-Been' Super Bowl XXX Champions Steeler Team. He has been erased from any other factoids behind my forehead. Just the facts.

I hear ya... Nobody and I mean NOBODY gave them a chance period. Hell I was 18 with my first decent paying job and bought a 5,000 lb 40" tube TV just because I knew they'd win it and that justified my purchase hahahahahahaha.

In all honesty that was the single biggest heart break of my life outside of deaths in the family. That turns around at halftime was unbelievable and with all the momentum that game was Pitt's no doubt! Still sucks rehashing it! Damn Jones and his buying off of the one who shall not be named! Hahahahaha

Damn it's my b day and now I'm thinking about that **** all over. Time to get drunk hahahahaha

I was 20 watching with my then girlfriend. I was crushed. If I would have been within in 50 feet of NOD after that game I would still be in prison today.

It was actually his third season and he had played throughout the year. He caught 10 passes in Super Bowl XXX
    He was a decent contributor.

I think you're referring to Andre Hastings, I remember him. I was referring to Corey Holliday (who's name I couldn't remember). I was thinking it was Corey who ran the wrong route on that play.
