Long term predictions

I predict a 3 or 4 win season this year. Big Ben decides not to return. We get a DL, a big fast receiver and an OL early in the draft. The next year is worse. Then they finally get the elite QB (they have a pick in the top three) in the draft (2021). They also get an OLB who can rush the QB. The record in 2021 is mixed (8-8). However, the Steelers start playing well in 2022, going deep into the playoffs and...

 

I'm sticking with 7-9 for 2019.

 

Are the Pirates any good by then too?

 

I'm revising mine to 4-12. Short-term projection pain, long-term projection more pain.

 

6-10 will be a success at this rate. Having a rookie QB gives Tomlin a get out of jail free card for this season.

If Ben doesn't come back strong next year then I think we'll have a top 10 pick in 2021. Could be a pretty good QB class.

 

You already have one prediction wrong. Ben said he is coming back next season. He loves the money too much to just retire.
