Nice article. Being one of those not sold on Whimper (not sure there are too many who are), these kind of stories are always positives.

There seems to be a good vibe around the camp at the moment - a lot of guys stepping up and making a case for themselves. Can only be a good thing.

Sorry to crap on your day like that. :dancing:

Yeah, 82, I don't think anybody wants to rely on Whimper... Even as a back up.

I'm excited about the direction our line is going. Many of these guys are athletic and have the ability to move which bodes well in a zone blocking scheme. But the thing that excites me the most about these guys is that they all seem to have some high quality antiques in the attic. They're INTELLIGENT! Aside from the quarterback, offensive linemen to me need to be among your smartest players. Many of these new guys, Beachum, Long, Golic, Jr., Decastro ALL seem to be bright guys and quick learners. I'm looking forward to monitoring their progress and seeing what they can do when the real hitting starts.

we shall see. i like long and farrell. long has more expierience as a starter. farrell played well in the big ten. i'd keep him on the PS for a year just to see what gilbert does at LT. he will be up for contract after next year, so i'd give these young guys as much knowledge as possible until then. i'd rather have 3 LT's that could play RT, then have 3 RT's that maybe can play on the left.

The title of the article was worse. That's what tweaks my stones, when journalists use puns in the title of their articles.

You know this kid has to have a good work ethic behind him, coming from the family that he does.

he was an all-american and all everything in Dll. farrell played well as a first year starter at penn st.. suprising his coaches at how well he played both tackle spots. both are big, lean boys. i'm liking our future depth right now. it's been awhile since we could say that about the O-Line. get them pads on and let's have at it.:smiley1:
