Kiper was useful in the '80s and maybe the '90s when he was one of only a couple of sources of extensive draft information. His draft guides were worth reading then. He was never great at predicting specific picks, but his scouting reports were usually decent. I wouldn't say he is an expert, but he has always been good at compiling information and putting it together in a manner that is easy to digest.

Now that sort of information can be found on many sources, most of them with as much or more credibility than Kiper, so he's just another hairdo who likes the sound of his own voice too much.

Actually people are no dumber than before. The dummies just didn't have a way of having a spotlight on them. Technology has, unfortunately, given the dummies a voice and a forum to attract the rest of the dummies.

Brady traces the lower QB quality play back to college programs that don't develop players like they used to. Pro teams are the same way now. Says colleges used to have football programs where players developed into earning a starting spot in the program. They had to demonstrate competences in all areas - learn to drop back and pass, read defenses, be coached, etc. to move up the depth chart. That carried over to the pros where teams developed players the same general way.

College and NFL teams are now completely player focused. Get pieces to fill out the team rather than develop players to fit into the program. Go get a QB in the transfer portal. Go get a veteran QB off waivers or out of retirement. The player development strategy has been eclipsed by depending on seeking talent. IMO Tomlin doesn't know how to develop players. I'm not even sure he thinks that's his job.

Why are teams picking up old QBs like they're gold? How the **** is 47 year old Brady even being discussed for Miami? Feels like the same reason classic bands with old farts still sell out. They put the work in to get great at their craft. The kids coming up are not. Not their fault. They are not being put through the process anymore because they don't need to. They get rich quick so who cares?

Feels like the decline of the sport but I'll keep watching. It's entertainment, not the decline of civilization, although it could be argued that it is a symptom.

Lack of prep in the offseason due to strict NFL rules. Lack of preseason prep because no one plays in preseason anymore.

Pressure of being Patrick Mahomes for all up and coming QBs is at a red level.

The question now is, will this be the test an average quarterback wins the Super Bowl with a great defense, good oline play and a good running game? That’s the real question that should be asked.

Winner. I've been saying this on the board since I got here,,but I get laughed at about it. Dude before long there won't even be a pro style offense in the NFL. There used to be a difference in the pro offense, and the college offense, but now we have so very little amount of Qbs that can play it....it's slowly being fazed out

Chase Daniels making excuses again for Qbs. LoL. Of course the NFL will stand behind what He say, and Hates hearing what Brady who could actually play says. I will bet the NFL will start flagging the D at a higher rate now to up the scoring. ....., but yeah let's blame the OL , and not the Qbs that take 10 seconds to read a D. LoL...., or that run right into pressure, or spin right into the Guy the LT, or RT is trying to block up field.

Sounds exactly like Fields n KFP… silhouette right into sacks
Yet, like you said, its the OL or the OC fault. Dont you blame the qb
