OK thanks. I've been having problems with the live stuff this past week. Something to do with the NFL system they're using now I believe. Anyway, I recorded the audio but wouldn't you know it imploded for some reason. Here are some highlights I managed before the feed died on me-

Antonio Brown's son sat on Coach T's lap looking super cute with a Fear'DaBeard t-shirt on.

Colbert said 'AB is one of our hardest workers.'

'The way he practiced, how hard he practiced, we thought he was going to have a great second year, which he did.'

'The first year watching him in practice you knew he was going to be a standout player.'

He said he's been an electric player for us.

Colbert was asked how this affects signing Mike Wallace, and Colbert responded with something like: 'This day is about Antonio, if you've got a question for Antonio, then great, otherwise...'

Well said! I kept thinking this is the guy I want representing our team, our work ethic, and that I want to be cheering for. Very classy guy!

I think I'm gonna give the kid some of my loot by buying his jersey. My new favorite Steeler, though those seeds were planted last year. Later Mike!

O.K., The rest of this board can hate on me all they want, for what I am about to say, because I know it won`t reflect the popular opinion, but, I`ve always been brought up to speak my mind, and enjoy the freedom of speech, that our soldiers have given their all to protect, even when my opinions don`t agree with theirs, so here goes...
Wow... What a "photo op"!!! Can you say "family values"?
Not, that I disagree with it, but, can you doubt how calculated that was, to have his little kid sitting beside him at the presser?
I actually thought it was kinda cute, how his son was putting his hand up, as if to wave off a question, and his irritated facial expressions, at all the cameras goin off, and all the attention that was being put on his daddy, as if to say... "just back off, y`all"..."give my pops some space"... ;-) :applaud:
I am just cynical. I kinda don`t understand what the point of interviews/ press conferences, is, when all the coaches/players just say the same catch phrases over and over.
I did notice that Colbert, kinda even seemed to be using some "Tomlin speak", or phrasing that Coach T wud use.
Almost seemed like a big staged event, to get a message across to Wallace.
And to make the Steelers seem like such a good, family-oriented, great organization to play for.
Didjya notice how many times Brown mentioned that he was "blessed with the opportunity to play", for such a "unique", organization?!
Again, I`m not saying that we AREN`T a great, and unique, organization, but...
    It sure felt awfully scripted,
And I don`t think we need to to do that. I don`t think we need to create staged "media moments", to get that point across.
I think our actions speak louder than words, over the years, and I hate to see us pandering to t.v. cameras, to try to make ourselves look good, when, in fact... we ARE the best team in the league, on all fronts!!!
Let`s not lower ourselves, to how "everybody else", "plays the game"!!!
Sorry. I know I am coming across as an old curmudgeon, but, it was bothering me, and I had to get it off my chest.
Honesty is the best policy, and I just had to vent.
I still love the Black-n-Gold, and I am glad they did what they did!!!! :applaud:
I just don`t think they had to have a press conference about it.
Do the right thing, because it`s the right thing to do... Not because you wanna "polish your image", or "look good to the rest of the world!"....
O.K. Rant over... Hit me with yer best shots.... :herewego: GO STEELERS!!! :yeehaw:
