Seen on tweets of steel lewis said he was misquoted and his exit interview went great. He went on to say they are moving in right direction and he is confident he will be part of steeler nation next year.

No surprise here. As once that quote about testing FA and they should have locked him up before this season/etc came out...I remember reading i think from Wexell saying that Lewis wanted to be in Pittsburgh/etc/etc.

He said 5 years 35 million if that's true I think it's a fair deal for both sides

Of course he was misquoted. Every time these idiot athletes run their mouths, their agents very quickly go into damage control. Keenan Lewis probably is unhappy he wasn't signed already, but a good offer would make him quickly forget all of that. Money solves everything for these guys.

I get the feeling that the words were accurate, but the reporter did distort his meaning.

The reporter is making it sound like Lewis is being vindictive. "The Steelers made a mistake. I'll get those pretties, and their little dog too!"

Maybe Lewis' words should be taken at face value, without any subtext.
The Steelers could have given him a contract before the season.
Since he played well, his value has gone up, and it was a mistake for the Steelers not to lock him in.
(Just like it would have been a mistake to give him a contract, if Lewis did not have a good season.)

From what I've seen on twitter today, sources are indicating Lewis will return for 5 years 35 mil.

I'm not sure if that was just saying that's what Lewis wanted or that's the number on the table (but Lewis did say his exit interview with the Steelers went very well and they discussed an extention).

Either way it sounds positive, and we need Lewis back. He played very well this season, and Ike probably only has 1-2 season left in him.
