It`s just posturing for the fans. Bell knows football is a business and if the best we can do is $10 mil/year and he can get $15 mil somewhere else, he is gone.

I love Bell on the field but the more he tweets the more he sounds like Mendenhall and I just don't like it. I wish these players would just quit social media altogether. There is really nothing to gain from it as far as I've eve seen.

Remains to be seen, but sadly I'd bet that you're 110% right on with that. Pitt would be stupid to pay him 15 mil as would any other team in my opinion. You don't hold the team hostage for a running back regardless of how special he may be. AP's contract and all that aside... He don't have a ring and the Vikes don't have much to brag about for over paying his ass other than a braggarts hogwash of having the best back in football for quite some time, yet with nothing to show other than personal accolades.

That aside, I'd offer AB 50 mill over 5 years, and I'd offer LeVeon 30 mill over 5 years.

 

He already stays home for too many games.

Good luck with that AB 50 million over 5 years, he will most likely want more than that. Some of the other top WRs got 70 million.

He is going to want 70 mill, the top 5 paid receivers combined average is 67 million that will be the starting point in the negotiation, anything less than that will stall out the talks on a new deal, will AB be willing to give a discount to stay here, say some where in the 60 million range thats possible, but it will be tempting for him to test the market in FA.........And 5 years 30 mill for bell is about 10 mill under the average, so that isnt a starting number for him, and once you factor in his value as a receiver 50 mill would be more in the range of a fair market value...

 

I wouldn't worry about the stuff he raps about. 99% of stuff in those rap songs is BS.
