Agree completely, and I've been lambasted for that opinion in the past.

Also, although Bell is a major player for us, I've also repeatedly said this - he was *not* the reason we crushed the Ravens last time out. Yes, he's a great pass blocker, but I think WJ will fit the bill just fine. Our passing game is key tomorrow night. Bank it.

Every team in the league is mandated by the NFL to report all of their injuries to the league and the media. The reports are due on Friday for Sunday games, and are updated on Saturday. In 2004 they were further improved to include participation in practice, with those reports being filed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The injury reports have been in existence since 1947 when Commissioner Bert Bell implemented them to eliminate an opportunity for inside information after a football game fixing scandal the previous season. Teams are watched closely and fined if they don’t file proper reports.

I figured this was gonna happen but I still can't help but torture myself by thinking about how beneficial the bye week would have been if we hadn't blown 2 games. Bell would have had 2 full weeks to rest his knee but oh well. "What if" thinking really only exists to torment me anyway. LOL.

I think Bill lists like most of his players as questionable just as a general practice. Apparently, it ticks a lot of people off. LOL. I've heard that anyway. Just another reason for me to be incredibly entertained by that guy.

EXACTLY! That's what I was talking about. That gets people really irritated that Bill does that but I think it's hilarious.

In a completely unrelated aside, seeing the name of Bert Bell reminds me that he was one of the influential people in sports history, yet barely remembered.

Man they keep replaying that hit and I just can't help but thank the "real" grass field for him not having an injury a lot worse!

Yep, if that leg was planted for even a split second longer, we'd be talking about using a high draft pick on a rb.

Pete Roselle pretty much gets all the credit for where the NFL wound up. I really think Lamar Hunt was maybe even more integral than him though.
