The Rats had no business in the playoffs? And we did? As has been pointed out time and again, the record is what you are. There were many dreadful moments last year, and the Steelers were no more deserving to be in the play offs than the Ravens.

    Hey Vox.

Well, "From a control your own destiny" standpoint, yes we should have been in the playoffs. That was my point. Take care. STEELWINDS

I have no problem with Butler as an outside linebackers coach. He is a proven disaster as a defensive coordinator

Part of the problem with those defenses was Butler failing to put players in a position to succeed. You can’t make big defensive plays when your defense is constantly plagued by communication errors that lead to busted assignments, a signature of Butler’s teams.

Without Butler and the defense this team would be 1-7 :roflmao:

The Ravens have the better coached team.

Their offense is pretty bland. Other than that I agree.

And you could say the Steelers missed the playoffs because Boswell missed field goals in 2018.

That's also assuming he has all 11 defensive players on the field during Chargers 3rd downs.

The Ravens owner admitted a couple seasons ago he thought about firing Harbaugh, they had missed the playoffs three years in a row.

Could Tomlin coach a team to a Super Bowl victory defeating 2 HOF QBs (Brady, Manning) in the process? I don't think so. Even with 4 seasons with Bell, Brown and Roethlisberger.... best he could do was AFC Championship berth. Harbaugh > Tomlin. Obviously.

Harbaugh won a Super Bowl with much less on offense than the Steelers had from 2014-2017. Plus, he can out-coach GOAT HC Belichick on occasion. Hell... he just did.

Then why did he go through those losing seasons, and was close to getting fired, that 2008 Steelers team was capable of beating Brady, but the Patriots didn't make the playoffs .

Yeah right. Brady blew out his ACL in the first game vs. KC. Patriots still had Moss and Welker. Patriots with Brady would have annihilated the Steelers in 2008....just like they did in 2010 and 2013. Tomlin and Steelers lucked up when Brady went on IR. Steelers can only make the Super Bowl in the Brady/Belichick era if either Brady is injured or some other team like Broncos, Ravens or Jets take the Patriots out.

Not gonna happen but it would be (insert adjective here) if Steelers make playoffs and finally beat Brady and company with Rudolph under center.

Could you imagine the butthurt around here if Rudolph defeated Brady/Patriots in the playoffs and then led the Steelers to a Super Bowl victory? Something Roethlisberger could never do. The entire "Never anyone but Terry and Ben" contingent would be on suicide watch.

Of course Tomlin would get a lot of credit too... which is fine by me. He and Colbert drafted Rudolph... so it's fair game.

Not to mention the "good" problem of having 2 Super Bowl Champion QBs on the roster for the next 2 seasons.

I don't think a contingent can consist of just one guy, but we'll hide the sharp objects at his house that week. :lolol:

They wouldn't have got annihilated by the Patriots with Cassell at QB, get out of here with that nonsense .

I said IF Brady was NOT on IR... no way Steelers get by them in playoffs in 2008. Patriots were one year removed from 18-1 and done... and they went 11-5 with Cassel at QB. Had Brady not been injured... Patriots easily win the Super Bowl in 2008. Patriots with Brady were a 13 or 14 win team in 2008.

The arguments that people make me scratch my head. There's no way in anyone's mind except yours that Harbaugh is a coach that's light years ahead of Tomlin.

An argument or debate can be had they are close to equals. Tomlin's win % is better. Their head to head records are close.

I believe Tomlin only had Bell, Brown, and Ben together for one post season run. It takes a team to win the Superbowl and not just 3 players. Harbaugh had good players on offense and defense when he helped to lead his team to the Superbowl.

Tomlin out coached BB on occasion too. For some reason some people just love to hate on Tomlin to the point where they can't see things clearly.

There's only one coach that's been light years a head of every other coach.
