If that happens after what happened against Tampa I will melt down, again.... That would be like 1998 when the Steelers lost twice to the 3-13 Cincinnati Bengals.

Overtly firing MT will never happen no matter what. If merely inferring that he is a "players coach" is somehow considered the "R" word (even though Cowher was as well), can you imagine what the the backlash would be if he were blatantly fired in the near-term - say mid-season? He will leave on his own terms and at a time he chooses - period. It's sad that this is how so many things are viewed these days across so many spectrums of life - devoid of the concept of merit. This being said however, this last defeat, I believe, falls directly on the collective attitudes, egos, inexperience and brain farts of the players on the field and not squarely on MT. He should and has assumed part of the blame, but the majority is on the players. It would sure be great if the Steelers could play with the passion and precision that two professional teams from Kansas City are playing this past week. Fun fun fun.

Nah, just the fact that the majority of us are done drinking the Tomlin kool-aid...

I love me some kool aid!

And I wouldn't say majority, closer to an even split.

Last time I looked it is was 40 to 28. That's a majority by far. No where close to an even split. Put the kool aid down and everything will be alright. lol

I believe some people thought he lost the team at 0-4 last season. Tomlin certainly hasn't lost this team this season. The people within the organization know he hasn't lost this team.

This team showed flashes that they can be a good team. They've also shown flashes that they can be a bad team at times. The truth is somewhere in the middle. They key going forward is for this group of players to develop more consistency.

    58% to 42% is a landslide in a presidential election. ;)

You are absolutely on the money with this statement. We are neither good nor bad. We're mediocre.

I agree. Flashes of brilliance, flashes of awfulness, flashes of stupidity. This is why we need to look at what needs improving, what needs cementing, and what needs burning.

In terms of how the votes are shaping up, it kind of reflects how a lot of threads go I think, so the numbers don't surprise me. It surprises me more when people post and make out there's a huge "pro-Tomlin" majority around here, and they're a radical lone voice for saying otherwise. (Though to be fair, I'm probably thinking of mainly one person, who was posting last season, and since seems to have disappeared)

I certainly hope there are more then 69 people voting for the Presidency :lolol:

In our little part of the world though, out of 69 people, only 11 more feel MT should be let go.
