I always remember he was involved in one of the stranger plays I ever saw in the NHL. The puck hit his helmet and bounced to the goal post where it bounced off that right back into his helmet and when he shook his head the damn puck went into the net. We were up by 4 goals so we got a good laugh out of it.

That was incredibly sad. I remember all too well when Malarchuk was injured. Very sad it cost this young man his life. Damn dangerous game when you think about it. Surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Glad they don't take players personality and overall attitude into consideration, or he'd never get in. Grateful that he backstopped the Pens to back-to-back Cups, and I enjoyed watching him play, especially his awesome puck handling skills, but he's a complete a$$hole of a human being.

That aside, the boys are playing much better. I've been impressed with Jarry, first for standing up and saying, "I need to be a lot better", then going out and doing just that. Need to keep it rolling.

Very entertaining game tonight. Sid's deflection to take a 4-3 lead late in the third was just sick. He gets the hat trick. I don't know how the hell these guys do it. Like Karlsson scoring on a 45-50' slapper and hitting about a 1/2' by 1' area. That was all the space he had.

Well, reality has set in again after the last couple of games against playoff caliber teams. This team simply does not have the speed to play the way they try to. It leads to lots of turnovers, one shot and done offensive zone visits and too many odd man rushes against.

I understand all good things must end but I really got use to the Pens being a shoo-in to make Playoffs. Odd seeing them down at bottom.:(

I can't believe the Bolts didn't score more than two goals in the first last night the way the forwards and defenseman were standing around. Credit to Jarry for that. Then, they outplay them in the second and the third with Jarry becoming the first Pens goaltender to score a goal. Unreal.

And Carter scores the game winner to pass Sid for #2 on the active list with 89 goals. Go figure.

Pens win in a 12 round shootout. Harkins with the winning shot. Crosby with an unbelievable first goal and another magical shootout goal.

Playing better lately. Glad they boat raced the Isle's the other night. I hate that freakin' team. Almost as much as Philly and the Caps.

Yep, it's not going to get any easier. NJ is struggling a little, but they are without Jack Hughes.

They have got to get the power play sorted out somehow. Karlsson was brought in to QB that unit. It hasn't helped at all. It sounds strange, but the All-Star break is coming and they need to start playing playoff style hockey if they want to make the tournament.

Pens with an arena full of fans on the road give up the very early goal to ex Pen Jason Zucker on 1st shot of the game. Playing in a 8500 seat college arena.

Pens just gave up the sloppiest goal that I’ve ever seen to take a 4-2 deficit. Been watching this team since 1976 and I’ve never seen a goal like that.

Those were the two worst regular season back-to-back losses I can remember in a long time. WTF were Malkin and Letang doing. That sucked.

Thankfully I didn’t see Sundays game but my son said it was horrible to lose like they did. I watched yesterday’s 3rd period and that was terrible. So much happened on the Malkin self goal it is hard to put in perspective. Our net was empty for probably 30 seconds while they dilly dallied in their own end getting closer and closer to the inevitable self goal. I don’t know why Letang sent that pass back to Malkin. In the end they deserved to lose as AZ out played them with crisp passes all game long.

I was just ready to start raising hell about them while the Florida game ended. So of course, Malkin ties the score with the goalie pulled and under a minute left. But I don't know how a power play with this much talent is so historically terrible. They had six straight chances, almost unheard of today and barely threatened. It makes one wonder if they are trying to be that bad.

They managed not to lose in OT but lost the shootout. 7 points out of the last wild card spot. It's not looking good.

Still some time to go but I don't see the point of making it anyhow. Can't see this team going through that grueling path to the Cup. Actually, I still want to make it.
