Yeah, it wasn't a bad signing I guess, but there always needed to be that awareness that Blount is a bit of a problem child. It's just too bad he couldn't get his act together, but it sounds like other guys in the dressing room wanted him gone. It was a move that needed to be done to save the locker room.

Steelers not expected to sign veteran RB to replace Blount. Going w Dri Archer and Josh Harris, as said

They should go after Ben Tate, he's the most talented free agent RB. He was upset with the Browns because it was a 3 man rotation at RB, with the Steelers it's just a 2 man rotation.

And what happens if he doesn't get a carry like Blount didn't yesterday?

    Definition of insanity.

It's so frustrating that a guy with so much to offer would rather get himself kicked off of teams than get his act together. He shows up, he gets himself and our star busted for DUI (I do not think Bell would have done that by himself), he gets into fights, and now this. I hate that we cut him, but I can't disagree with it.

Seastrunk was one of the guys I thought we might draft.
What about Dwyer? Any chance he comes out of retirement? He is mad people are saying he retired cuz he wasn't gonna make the team?

I thought he was in AZ...I remember him playing in some cames for them.

I know Mendy/Redman are retired...but never heard anything about Dwyer.

At first I thought we would keep him around until we found a replacement.

But in hind site, if you have gangrene in your foot, you don't keep it around because you don't have a replacement.

Pretty sure that Dwyer is on the reserve/illness list, meaning AZ has the rights to him, but he can't play for the remainder of the season. Either way, with a felony and multiple misdemeanors looming over his head...I can't see how any team - especially the Steelers - would touch him with a 10 foot poll. Ray Rice will probably find work first.

Not right now it's not, but if the judge rules in his favor (which most believe will happen) any team can sign him as soon as the ruling is made.

I like seastrunk coming out and wouldn't have been pissed at all had we nabbed him. Pretty good back and I know a few skins fans who were pissed that they cut him.

He smacked his girlfriend or something didn't he? It's weird that he's a cardinal. He's clearly more of a raven.

It's a darn shame because he's very talented but we are a high character team so he had to go. I will miss his talent but hopefully the kid we promoted from the PS can fill the void.
