    Bowles head coach at Jets....

Makes me think Lebeau will be new DC in Arizona.

    This is ridiculous!

Where's the institutional identity for them? Every damn person this team loses has to go there? Now they've got the former DC and they're picking ahead of the Steelers and they already know what/who the Steelers are looking at as far as defensive personnel.

I wish LeBeau the best in Arizona.

For some reason, I didn't have a problem with him and I'm not sure it's time for him to retire. I could very well be wrong. But after being labeled a BA apologist... let's just say I feel some type of way... :lolol:

Still, I'd drop the Steelers in a heartbeat if year after year they were taking the leftovers from one team. I don't know how as a fan I'd be expected to have any confidence if the strategy was "That guy left the Steelers? Get him here!"

It's annoying to me as well but it really happens all over the league.

Doesn't bother me at all, who do they have anyway, Foote and Ta'amu? Its not like they have a roster full of ex Steelers.

They've had a lot more than that. There was a list once and it was quite exhaustive. I can't remember but it was at least like 10 Steelers. They also have Mauro I think. I can't remember but someone actually posted how many they've had and it was a lot. Oh they also have Drew Butler just off the top of my head. Mendy was another.

Since Whiz got there it has been going on. Joey Porter, Clark Haggans, Nick Eason, Deshea, Rainey, Foote, Drew Butler, Crezdon Butler, Mendy, Mauro, Dwyer, Gay, and I can't think but there are actually more. Also they've had a lot of Steelers coaches too.

    Arizona hasn't won a thing.
So take all the Steeler castoffs you want, it's not working.

    Until Ben goes there :p

I meant currently, all those players aren't on the team now. And Butler, really? we're getting upset about punters now? lol.

Head coaches normally bring in the people they have worked with, its not surprising, if it wasn't Arizona it would be whatever other team BA landed on. But all those positions you listed aren't from us anyway, far as I can tell.

RB coach? Wilson went to the Vikings, am I forgetting someone? What LB coach? Butler has been our LB coach for 12 years. Secondary coaches are listed as Kevin Ross and Nick Rapone, don't remember them being here, don't recognize the line coach either, not that it would matter, everyone before Munch has sucked.

Last season they had a great defense with Todd Bowles running the D, he has no connection to Pittsburgh.

To each their own I guess but I don't know what is upsetting about it. If they had a roster full of ex players and winning SB's, I could see that being upsetting.

I don't know that I'm upset about it, just that it's a little ridiculous at this point and if I were a fan on the other side I might be getting a little tired of it.

Nothing like being called "Pittsburgh West" I guess.

Yeah I was just saying it has been going on for a while and that it happens a lot. BA also took Rainey to the colts as well. Although maybe Pittsburgh is AZ East since we brought back Gay and have Haley now too. LOL.

They just signed Carson Palmer to a new 3 year deal through 2017 that will pay him about 50 million, so are they going to pay Ben to be the backup, or would he start and Palmer would be a 50 million dollar backup, where does this crazy stuff get started????

I don't think Ben is going to AZ ever but I'm sure that Palmer contract has a lot of stuff in it that we don't know about and it probably is a lot more team friendly than we know about. Remember when Snyder signed McNabb to that ridiculous deal for spite a few years ago? I would almost bet money that he MIGHT have gotten about 1% of what that contract was actually worth. I wouldn't be surprised if that Palmer contract wasn't similar. I've also heard that Kaepernick's deal, even thought it's for an insane amount, is actually really team friendly. I'm sure if AZ wanted rid of Palmer they could probably get rid of him with relative financial ease.

I hope so. They look like they could possibly match up with TE'S and RB'S . If they couldn't then they would need to be pulled .

No need to speculate on the details of Palmer's contract, here it is:

If they cut him prior to June 1, it's a $10 million dead money hit in 2015. If post June 1, it's $4 million in 2015, and I believe $6 million in 2016. Since his 2015 cap hit is $14.5 million, it would indeed represent a cap savings if they cut him either before or after June 1. Of course, I'm not sure where they would then find the cap space to find another legit starting QB.
