FWIW - Week 2 and the Steelers are ranked Number 1 overall. Hopefully they don't let that go to their heads and continue to improve every week.

The Patriots will be #1 as soon as Brady is back.
The writer might even make that change sooner, considering what NE is doing to Houston tonight with their 3rd string QB.

Im putting the PATS at #1 now....they are stomping the Texans without Brady or Gronk. They are on their 3rd string rookie QB...and are not just squeaking out a win, but the Texans should be embarrassed.

I have never been more embarrassed of an NFL team....and I watch the Browns every week.

This butt kicking should get some Texans fired IMO

The only thing that would have been more embarrassing is if they were playing at home. If they had, I don't the outcome would have changed a bit. All 3 phases, holy cow!

Not sure we beat pats, they keep winning and have been our Achilles. Brady will be back

What's crazy is that Brady's gonna have even more of a chip on his shoulder when he gets back. Roger has probably just created a buzz saw this year.

Patriots should be #1 after this week, even if the Steelers beat the Eagles soundly. Patriots have been a lot more impressive over the past 3 games without Brady, than the Steelers were in 2010 without Ben for 4 weeks.

Steelers are the only team in the NFL with any chance of beating them. The Steelers offense can hang with them on a good day... the question is... can the D hold Brady under 30 points?

I just don't know. Those cheaters find ways of shutting us down with scrubs. How they do it? I don't know.

Probably not maybe under 35 so we need 36 to win...I see no way the Steelers can beat them in their house .. We need them to drop a game or 2 somewhere and we need to not drop any....I don't think 13-3 will get home field...

No way in hell Steelers win at Foxboro in late January. I forgot about the the Giants in the NFC. Giants would be the last hope of beating the Patriots in the Super Bowl... and have proven it in the past. Giants would only have a chance if OBJ and Cruz stay healthy all year. Giants would have to get through the NFC gauntlet of Packers, Panthers, Seahawks, etc.

I was saying earlier that Steelers needed at least 12 wins to get the #2 seed and playoff bye week. 12 might not even do it this year if the Broncos keep winning with Siemian at QB. AFC = BCS

Look at the Pats record at home. They don't lose. We need home field throughout the playoffs. We can beat them, but i don't like our chances in their house. They do not lose at home

We also will need an early lead. Their record when getting an early lead is almost unbelievable. Stats don't dictate what will happen, only what is very likely to happen. I'd rather not play with fire. We need home field throughout.

Hell no. Steelers can win, but the chances are extremely slim to none. The Steelers do not match up well vs. the Patriots. It's been this way since opening week in '02, when Brady and Pats annihilated Steelers and Kordell Stewart. This probably won't change until Brady retires.

Our best hope is the Steelers can get them at Heinz Field in the playoffs... or some other team takes them out in the divisional round.

I know it won't happen but it would be funny if they go 3-1 or 4-0 and then start losing when Brady comes back.

I don't know how many people are going to agree, but I'll be the first to make the controversial prediction that the Steelers will no longer be #1 in that power poll.

Hopefully the sports media will come to its senses. Steelers need to be ranked where they belong.... somewhere between 18th and 14th.
