Here we are ladies and gentlemen.
16 game season. Won’t last long.
2 games into the season...……………………..
Had browns started baker we may be 0-2
And them 3-0...Typical Browns
This may sound wrong but I'll bet Haley was itching ready for Taylor to get hurt so he could get some rhythm against our defense.
a prime example of how spoiled we are as fans . 2 games in we are complaining about being in the basement where we have spent very little time. . Chin up folks..
I'm thinking that the "spoilage" is more based on the exasperation with the team's attitude and, to use a Tomlin-term, their ACCEPTANCE of mediocrity and ineptitude on the field. Add to that the soap opera of Bell and now Brown it really sours me on the ability of Tomlin and his staff to lead this team.
In the meantime, the Browns are leading the Steelers. SAD.
Knee jerk reaction much? I don't believe anyone accepted mediocrity and ineptitude. The team is working to get better.
Tomlin and his various staffs have proved that they have the qualities to lead this team. Don't simply forget what happened in the past. I have faith that the coaches can provide the leadership necessary to help the players turn things in the right direction.
There are alot of adjectives to characterize this team in the past years but inept indeed is not one of them. They are not playing up to the Steeler level however its two games in. Lets give it time to see what happens before we jump the proverbial bridge.
All this and the chains come off that nasty swill because they finally WON a game!
Browns > Steelers
Heinz < optimistic (I'm actually pretty proud of this thought provoking post!)
True. He looked really good
I went to the can during the Steelers Browns game when the Steelers were up 21-7. I told the guy next to me that the only person I don't want to see on the field is Mayfield. He looks at me and says "what the fugg are you talking about, this game is won". I responded, not if we start turtling. Well, we know how that ended up. If Mayfield plays that day, we lose, period. Pretty damn sad.
At some point the old step aside and the new take over. We are not at that point just yet.
when you let the browns make up a 14 point deficit in a game and you spot the next team 21 in one qtr. and 21 more in the second half, while your offense has negative yards in the first qtr. in the home opener, there are problems. two games or 16 games, there are problems. when you have to dumb down a whole defense in the NFL in two games there is a problem. yes we are in the basement and yes there is a problem. 2 games or not.
We shall see if this weeks buzz word from MT "Adversity" is not only met, but overcome. The D should look a lil better with Haden. Hopefully they "Dumbed" the D down enough to learn to cover a TE. Funny thing about the basement is that it's quite easy to ascend. Here We Go!
Good job by the Browns but the Jets did everything they could to lose.
You know there's an unwritten rule that you never use the term "went to the can" and "turtling" in the same paragraph. Almost borders on redundancy.
6 Browns related threads > 2 LB related threads on page 1 of Steeler Talk. As Etta James so wonderfully sang: "At Last.............................". LB's now moving towards where his egotistical self needs to be - in the rear view mirror!
