    No one is thinking that?

Who is even giving that any form of consideration; the thought of such being an afterthought within itself?

I think the jist of the article is being misrepresented. He wasn't trying for a direct comparison but more along the lines of that being the dream. I think any backup QB would echo those sentiments. I don't think you will ever find some who says I wanna come into a game or a season and lose. However I don't think anyone can dream of accomplishing anything like Foles did. It was almost the Kurt Warner storyline.

Don't forget that at one point 4 years ago, Nick Foles had some crazy streak of 30 some touchdown passes and maybe 3 or 4 INT. It was very impressive. He then left the Eagles for some money, then the wheels fell off, and he became a back up, and then had some crazy playoff magic last year.

I was really surprised no one tried hard to trade for him. But, got to be a good feeling if your an Eagles fan and know you can win with either guy. Not many NFL teams are lucky to be in that situation.

If Ben went down for the rest of the year, and Landry had the keys, I would have zero faith in winning a Super Bowl. I'll but it at that.
Landry is serviceable though he can win you a few games if need be, he's good enough to do that.

I agree. And if you don't even have any HOPE for such a possibility, why even come to work? But reality is, we have no hope of winning a ring if Ben ain't playing. None. We would struggle to be 8-8. Probably 6-10 this season.

Nick Foles is barely 100 days older than Laundry. If Wentz had stayed healthy and Foles never got off the pine in '17, Foles resume would still be miles ahead of Jones.

Jones has done nothing to make you think he could do what Foles did. Actually, before he did it, Foles did nothing to make you think he could what Foles did. He's 29 now, his development is pretty much done. Maybe Jones will be a late-in-life great starter in the NFL. But I wouldn't bet that way. If the Steeler decide to cut him, in favor of the reindeer and the raw potential of Dobbs, I'll bet Laundry finds a backup a job elsewhere, bounces around the league doing that for a couple of years , and becomes the ex-player commentator on Sooner football radio broadcasts after that.

But hey, I wish him well.

Wonder how long in terms of prep. time would it take the young man to get accustomed to an NFL Playbook?

Bubby always had trouble with the wind coming in off of the lake.

I don't know why you guys think his thought is so far fetched......if in a parallel universe we could play Cleveland every game up to and including the SB he wouldn't sound so foolish after all....now would he....sheesh you guys have no imagination...

Yeah, that was weird, because they traded for him, but were looking for a future QB at the same time to replace Bradford.

That's not setting him up for sucess.

Foles is a pretty decent QB... Chip was doing some weird ****. The Rams had no O line and not much for a QB to throw to period. Not surprised he did well during his stint last year. He has the tools to go with the tools he had in his bucket. Wanted him here behind Ben the day he was eligible... As did a couple others back then and we all ate **** over it. Not so much now. We could've been set with an upgraded Landry ey?

Off the top of my head, can only think of two, Jeff Hostettler and Doug Williams.

Most of the time though, losing your starter mean season over.

He's not even Tommy Maddox good.
Well, Brady, I mean he was a 6th rounder, Dilfer was not the starter in 2000, won a ring.
