A lot of great points in this thread and I don't see how Green makes it back this week(sucks) we could really use him. Right now I feel Tuitt is more important though for this game. I think our other TEs can step up and I feel Grimble can be used in much the same way and has very good size and athleticism as well. What I would really like to see though is DWill and Bell getting plenty of reps together to make up for the absence of Green.....

Hear me out...I don't see Bells running style working against them. We could never run on them and I don't think we will be able to this week either....I actually feel DWills one cut style would be better against their D and I absolutely love Bell 1 on 1 with any of their LBs ,it's a glaring mismatch they are too big and slow to cover him....he will be available all day out of the backfield or in the slot. Like someone mentioned if J smith is out they will have their hands full( hopefully not literally) just covering our WRs . This is the week Ben needs to step up and spread the ball around, check it down and throw it away. Can't afford to fall behind the sticks....we shall see.

What comes around goes around. Burfict was due his sooner or later anyway.

Make no mistake, I have the utmost sympathy for an injured player; Steelers or otherwise. However, when a player, a repeat offender at that, continuously maintains intentions to hurt another, humble pie will surely follow soon after; immediate, soon or distant future being irrelevant.

Good point. But it appears as to past history that Green does not do well in the concussion department.

Funny, it appeared that may have happened to Tuitt on the first defensive play. The O-Lineman was grabbing and turning him even though Tuitt had beaten him and was heading straight for Dalton. That turning may also be how Tuitt hurt his knee. I'll need to check a replay.

Generally i think they only call the most egregious examples. Otherwise there would be like 3 flags on every play. it is maddening to analyze. just look at all the non-calls on deebo over the years. Also look at the reaction of the o-lineman when they are called. Obviously they were holding but they got away with it the previous 30 plays so they act dumbfounded

I don't feel their was clarification of the injury that Green had to keep him out so long. Was it the ankle? Or the headaches? If in so it was the headaches we might not see him again this season.

He was out for the ankle, the media speculated it was the headaches.

Ben needs to stop forcing the ball to AB when he's double covered, Cobi Hamilton and Eli Rogers are capable of making plays.

Players can absolutely play the next game after being placed in the concussion protocol and it didn't seem as if Green suffered a particularly bad one. He was slow getting up, but it didn't look like he lost consciousness or had trouble walking off the field.

Of course, the concern is his history and it will be a huge factor in this game. The idea that he won't be missed is just silly. He is a far better receiver than James, Grimble or Johnson.

AB also got facemasked in the endzone. Two no-calls that would have put us on the goal line that happened right in front of the refs...
