This is just what we need to be reading:

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp13/story/_/id/9601152/eddie-lacy-draft-biggest-steal

Yeah, Mike, let's go with that Michigan State dude instead.

I need some sort of proof, somewhere, somehow, that our head coach is not an incompetent fool. Because that is exactly how it seems. Not simply because of this pick, but because its further evidence of his stupidity. Yes, Colbert is the GM, but Colbert and Cowher did great things together. And Cowher and Donahoe did great things together. So I'm left to think that the head coach has considerable input on personnel matters. How else to explain Colbert's sudden inability to draft? It's not Colbert; it's the bozo he's working with.

    Rant over.

I'll skip the "It's customary to wait 3 years before grading a draft" and just point out that according to that very pro-Lacy article, Lacy has 16 carries for 35 yards this preseason.

I'm not saying he's not good or that he hasn't flashed, but Christ, so has Le'Veon Bell. Everyone who's seen Bell in camp has said he's the real deal. He's got a sprained foot and we don't know how to draft, is that it? This, despite the fact that the 1st, 3rd, and 4th picks in the same draft are all looking like steals. Bell has reportedly looked just as impressive, he just hasn't done it in a game yet. What is wrong with you?

Come on, Snack...Bell has to be a bust by now! He had his two weeks to show something. Lacy without a doubt will be rookie of the year this year and HOF next! The fact that you can't see that out of his 16 carries is crazy!

Why are we acting like the Steelers were the only team to pass on Lacy? Lots of teams took him off their board because of a foot injury. Those can be problematic. Obviously Bell has one now but hindsight is 20/20.

Also, why are we complaining about taking Lacy over Bell when the rest of this draft class looks like it could be very strong. So far it looks pretty strong to me for an incompetent fool.

Jarvis Jones - I'll admit I wasn't a fan of this pick when we made it. Jones has already outplayed Worilds in my opinion and seems to have that nose for being around the ball the same way Troy has in his career.

Markus Wheaton - This kid will overtake Cotchery by mid-season, if not sooner. He looks like Santonio 2.0. I already think he'll be our number two receiver next season.

Shamarko Thomas - I've been following him pretty closely on twitter and he's a weight room fiend. All you can ask of guys like him right now is listen, and work. He's done those two things, and made one big play in preseason. At worst I think he's going to be a special teams ace this season. He's also likely to get a lot of work in the nickle defense.

Justin Brown - Has a shot to make the roster. He's impressed me. Another pick I wasn't crazy about, but gotta love his big frame.

    Vince Williams
    - Looks to be a solid depth player and special teamer.

Brian Arnfelt - I think he makes this team. And who knows, he looks to have the hustle and football I.Q. to be another Kiesel, that works his way from the bottom of the depth chart to the top.

Bell wouldn't be injured if that damn Haley would learn not expect production from rookies. Dammit Haley you have to leave them sit a couple years and sloooowly work them into the starting lineup. Haven't you learned anything yet?

Le'Veon Bell got injured in a preseason game. That alone should tell you he's a bust. Nobody in the history of the NFL has ever done that. Not even children in the pee wee's do that. This guy stinks! Cut him now. Trade him for a pair of Cleats! Ship him to the CFL! Get him an internship at ESPN just to save his career!

Hind site is always 20/20. You should tell every Packers fan that they will never have to worry about Lacy being injured in the future..........................................or his weight.

Great response Snack. Seriously 12to88, what is wrong with you? The only thing I can get from this post is that you hate Tomlin and grasping at straws to :bscow: on him.

This draft has very good potential to be one of our best since 74', of course then it will have all been Colbert and nothing to do with Tomlin. We'll just have to wait and see, which is what you should do before hanging Tomlin over this draft.

I want to go on record right now and say that Eddie Lacy will be the first player inducted in to the Pro Football Hall of Fame while he is STILL playing. I'm sick of people calling him the real deal. He is clearly the realEST deal. I've never seen such grace and such finesse from an NFL runner. He is so sweet that we will have to REnickname Walter Payton "Bitterness". I mean even the guys last NAME screams of what you think when you think NFL runningback. Don't we all have visions of linbackers being plowed over when we hear the word "Lacy"??? I know I sure do. But then you have Le'Veon Bell who on the other hand is the exact opposite! I mean HIS name sounds like an Elton John song and we all know that old EJ isn't exactly what you think of when you think manly man. Also his name sounds french and all them dang frenchmen aint nothing but pacifist sissies anyway. I bet you Bell will get to the line of scrimmage and refuse to fight for yards because it would be against his nature as a person with a french sounding name. Dang it Tomlin! You've done it to us again!

That's not actually a riddle. A riddle would be something like "A man was born in 1936 and died in 1938. He was 84 years old." What you said is actually just more of a straightforward question or maybe a trivia question at best. Riddles transcend both of the aforementioned. Just sayin'.
