I agree with GB and saints. But GB hasnt had talent to write home about besides the great aaron Rodgers. We have had hall of fame talent at multiple positions and cant win..

 

You got to wonder what Doug Peterson, Jimmy Johnson, Tuna, Hoody, Noll, etc. could do with this team. Instead we got Mr. no accountability, I-want-to-be-your friend running things.

I agree. I think Sean payton could have been masterful with this talent and his offensive playcalling and he would have employed a head coach like d coordinator like a Jim Schwartz or a wade phillips. Not Keith butler.

 

That wasn't my point I was trying to make, it's been 10 years since the Steelers have won a SB. The Patriots also went 10 years between SB victories .

All we ask is to have the team prepped for the games. If they lose to the better team, fine. But the team is ill prepared half the season and have lost to ****ty teams for a long time.

 

That's actually a good point to raise (and another one Madden hasn't bothered to talk about).

It would be an interesting debate to have as to whether Woodley was ever worth the deal he got, or whether the drop-off in play/injuries happened only after the deal was done. Either way, the cap implications were horrific for a defense getting rebuilt.

 

Woodley was loafing, taking plays off, before the deal in the 2009 season. Steelers FO should have saw the writing on the wall.

 

And his ever-increasing weight was another indicator.
